I recently had lunch at Bocuse. The menu is prefixed. There are a lot of great choices for appetizers. However, there is only one vegetarian selection for the main course. My husband liked the lamb shoulder. We waited for a very long time for the dessert. The puff pastry was burnt on mine.

As always dining at any of the CIA restaurants is a real treat. Bocuse is French inspired in a lovely art deco ambiance. Service was attentive and informative. The salmon dish I ordered had ran out but they were able to do the fish of the day ( arctic char ) in the same style. Yum! The students are so eager to please and accommodate and endlessly explain the food, it’s preparation etc. They will even print out recipes if you ask. Only slight criticism is they are a bit to eager to clear the plates. My husband eats quickly and I am slow. I still regret the few morsels from my fish that were whisked away, albeit with my permission . Don’t wait for a special occasion, just go! You will be very happy you did!

Amazing service and food! The staff/students were so polite and had great attention to detail for the food and guests. Highly recommend the duck breast for entree and chocolate for dessert. They added a wonderful touch for my husband’s birthday. Absolutely loved it here and will be visiting again. Make sure to stop by the Apple Pie Bakery Cafe to pick up some to go desserts and pastries!

Fantastic restaurant and experience for date night. My wife and I have traveled extensively throughout France and this would make any French person happy if eating here. The students do an exceptional job in waiting and serving as well as the most important part, cooking. The truffle soup is fantastic. The first time I had this was at Monsieur Paul in the French part of Epcot at Disney world years ago. As this was one of Chef Paul Bocuse’s recipes I had high expectations and I wasn’t let down. My wife had the endive salad starter, followed by a buckwheat pasta dish and rhubarb soup dessert, all delicious. After my truffle soup starter, I had the Berkshire pork chop with a cognac and rosemary sauce and a poached merengue, creme Anglais, soft caramel and toasted almond dessert. We were also exited that they had Cidre from Normandy to have with dinner.

This place deserves a 10 star. AMAZING food, perfectly cooked meats, balanced flavors for all three courses. Outstanding pricing for such good food ($59 for three course dinner!). Waiters/students are so adorable, their diligence is reflected with the service we got today.

A fabulous place at Culinary Institute of America, staffed by students at the college, both front and back of house. Enthusiastic, hard-working students, and a fabulous rotating menu.

A delicious and rewarding experience in Hyde Park! Going to Bocuse at the CIA is a treat for any foodie looking to get a glimpse into the beginnings of talented chefs. Each of our 3 courses had something special. Our starter included the best crab cakes we’ve had: perfectly fried and full of flavor. My partner’s main (the fricassée) was melt-in-your-mouth good. And my crepe cake with layers of mascarpone was the perfect way to end the meal. On top of that, the restaurant has a stacked wine cellar with many options for pairing.

We loved our meal so much that we purchased a gift card in the same amount for our friend. We’ve been wanting to drive up here from the city for years and finally worked it in to a weekend trip Upstate. The campus is beautiful. The restaurant is special. Our server was amazing and she explained every dish. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back. Also- great for all seasons!

Three courses from a fixed price menu (with a couple options that add a little more), a lot from which to choose with each course. Each course was delicious and beautiful. Each course came out very timely, dessert surprising took the longest. The only issue was that it took a long time to get the bill and to pay it.
