This place was crazy good. A truly outstanding plate of food in a tiny town north of Fort Worth. More people should be road tripping to eat here. My son said it could be one of the best plates of food he’s had in years. He has the honey butter chicken biscuit. I had biscuits and gravy and everything was homemade and fresh. A great dining experience. It gets busy and only open for breakfast and lunch so plan accordingly. Staff was friendly and owner or manager was around and attentive.

The Bluebonnet Cafe, and coffee bar is a home run for breakfast, and lunch options in Cooke County. They have delicious menu selections. The coffee, bar has offerings of espresso ☕, Carmel macchiato, latte’s and alcohol offerings for those that want to have a mimosa for their breakfast. This was my second visit, and it was just as good as the first visit. We had a chance to have a nice visit with the owner Shelly B. We were really impressed with her and her endeavors. Her hard work is paid off! Give this place a visit you won’t be disappointed!

Best brunch I have had in a long time! Ashley Smith was beyond helpful with guiding me through the menu for my first time coming in. She also recommended the sunrise mimosa which was absolutely delicious!! Highly recommend coming in to see Ashley Smith!

I believe this place opened recently! It was so cute! I’m so glad my friends and I decided to stop by! The food was so delicious and the service was great! They have so many drink options, from iced lattes with oat milk to mimosas. Everyone at our table ordered a different drink and food item but they all looked perfectly crafted and tasted splendid! (: I hope that I get to come here again very soon!

My favorite local place to eat—I pass *quite* a few breakfast/lunch restaurants to come to Bluebonnet for a few reasons (in no particular order):

We stopped at this wonderful little home-town restaurant while returning from a trip. The food is refreshingly home made, substantial, and excellent tasting .The restaurant itself is very clean and quaint, with personable owners and staff, reminiscent of a scene from Mayberry, in the old Andy Griffith Show. Our waitress, Ashley Smith was extremely hospitable and attentive to our needs, as were all the employees, and we enjoyed a nice chat with both Ashly and the owner. We Thank You All for being so welcoming and receptive! We hope to return in the near future, as you will be added to our list of regular stops when traveling through the area.

Awesome food and service. It’s in a small Texas town, Valley View, but it is worth a drive.

Awesome atmosphere. Great food and better then Starbucks coffee and specialty drinks. Waitstaff is friendly and attentative. It closes at 2, so make sure you give yourself enough time to eat and relax with a cup of coffee or hang out at the diner type bar catching up with the locals.

Shhhhh! Let’s keep this our secret. If it gets out how GOOD the food and service is at this small-town Texas gem, we may have to stand in even longer lines. Best breakfast in the cross timbers! But…keep it between just us.

Absolutely adorable and tasty! The coffee drinks are just the right sweetness while still having a great coffee flavor. We had a lunch and a breakfast quesadilla and both were delicious. The lunch quesadilla had more bell pepper than I personally like but still good. Crunchy tacos were also delicious. Salsa was a little spicy for us but still good. Service was impeccable! Will be back!
