The atmosphere was different than your usual pub, most likely because it was downstairs. The staff was friendly. Was out of the state visiting my son and he recommended eating here. The food was very good, pulled pork nachos. We went during the week and out of school season so it wasn’t crowded.

THIS is definitely a restaurant that all others restaurants should take notes! First, the staff were knowledgeable about their menu AND the beer. Can’t tell you how many times I ask about IPA and get deer in headlights look. And they give you beer SAMPLES?!?! Who does that?

Absolutely love this place. My wife had the jive turkey sandwich. I had the ma barker burger. We loved the food. And the bar tender knows his way around pouring a drink also. I would highly recommend this place.

Such a nice place with nice employees. My wife and I brought our Pup JoJo and the bartenders and waitresses let us bring her in. Before we even got our food a waiter brought us a Tupperware container full of water for our dog to drink. On top of the amazing service the sandwiches are to die for. This is definitely one of our favorite spots in Oxford.

Went here for the 2nd time last night. The place smelled like backed up sewer lines and sour bar mats. After receiving my food, I looked up to see an order expediter preparing customers’ orders holding a live dog! He had the dog in the kitchen, clearly visible to everyone, and he was not observed to was his hands as he touched food and prepared plates. GROSS! Additionally. I observed a thin male kitchen staff member with long hair intoxicated and screaming across the bar. I watched him walk behind the bar, grab a short old fashion glass and pour multiple shots of whiskey into the glass which he chases in record pace. Then he immediately poured several more doing the same to quickly consume entirely too much alcohol.

Somehow within 15 minutes of being there, I had the wrong order brought to me twice (insistent that I ordered it), the right one untoasted and tossed at me (despite menu’s description), a friend’s ketchup thrown at him, an undressed salad (again despite menu), and a server aggressively run into my friend. Great lunch spot! Located downstairs just off the Square. Food is fresh and has great flavor. Had a pastrami sandwich that was outstanding! The pork skins appetizer was cooked fresh and brought to the table.
