I’ve never had anything as delightful as the Hot Honey Peach French Toast. The Big Freakin’ Burrito was smothered in an amazing chorizo gravy and they will prepare it to your preferred spiciness. Everything was so delicious and colorful. ❤️

We stopped by and had a great lunch on a day down from BC. The concept is farm to table Louisiana style, and it hits the note perfectly. We had the Beets, Pork Cheeks, Smoked Duck Gumbo and Creme Brulee. It was all very delicious, and the portions were solid and high quality. We sat in the bar area which is cosier but still has the views of the main restaurant area. Here the server/bartender was super friendly and dipped in and out of conversation with us and the Chef Michael also came to our table. So it unexpectedly ended up feeling like a very casual but intimate dining affair.

Been to this hidden away gem yet? If not, it is a must! The Chef is the best at making Shrimp and Grits among everything else on the menu. Beets by Matthew are a favorite too. If you’re not a seafood lover you can go for the Shuksan Burger or Pork Cheeks So many good choices on the menu, with occasional seasonal surprises too. Knowing most of the items are locally sourced makes it all taste even better.
Oh, and if you like a genuine Po’boy, the rolls are local from New Orleans.
Just go through one of the double doors at the golf course and the kind staff are there for you.
They had a tasting and pairing event last night with some amazing samples of food and ciders (Finn River) that was great to be a part of. Rumor has it they may do it again.
Adding some pics of the delectable samples. Thank you to all the lovely staff for making us want to be regulars there. The warm summer night’s, live music, great drinks and sweet servers definitely got us hooked.

You will be hard pressed to find better Cajun food even in Louisiana. And never at a golf course where the usual fare is hot dogs – yes, they have dogs too.
My pal doesn’t like grits, but she could not keep her fork out of mine. Creamy, buttery deliciousness. Perfect heat in the sauces, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options.
It’s small, just 3 tables and 5 spots at the counter. Overlooks one of the most beautiful golf courses in the county. But at lunch on a weekend you will have to contend with golfers wandering in with muddy grassy shoes, but hey- you got this.
Really OMG – don’t miss this place. Superior cuisine. Get this – they fly the bread for the Po Boy sandwiches in from Louisiana!

If you want a taste of New Orleans, this is definitely the spot to go in Bellingham. The happy hour is unbeatable too ! 7$ cocktails done right ! Everything I tasted was great. Great flavors, could use a little more spice, but definitely a strong 9.5/10 overall. I recommend the slider and Cajun jambalaya!!! I cannot believe this place was not packed! If I’m ever in the area agin I would definitely return. The staff was very welcoming as well, I love this place lol.

Secret treasure of a restaurant! I was hesitant because I wasn’t sure if I would like the golf club atmosphere, but the outdoor deck was gorgeous and there’s a beautiful view of the forest, mountains, and just a bit of the green/water feature. The cocktail was nice and I had the mushroom risotto, which was delicious and generous with the mushrooms. I highly recommend it!

Absolutely amazing. I had the pork cheeks and they were incredible. The staff was incredibly accommodating to our large group.
If you have an event, this would be a great place to host!
The views were great. We will definitely be coming back.

Matthew, the head chef is truly a master of his craft. The team that he has curated at The Bistro demonstrates his attention to detail and dedication to provide a healthy environment with amazing farm to table food. All of the employees are in a great mood and happy to serve you one of the best meals in Whatcom County. I also recommend going there on Friday for their jazz nights. This time I got the half wedge salad (not pictured because I ate it so fast!) the pork cheeks with a blueberry glaze, gold beets and mushrooms over puréed celeriac (the best I’ve ever had,) and a bread pudding with creole cream cheese frozen custard, that is served over candied bourbon pecans with a sweet bourbon creme anglaise to end this gastronomic symphony. Truly a delight!! Will be back many many many more times.

Service was great
Had the club, good portion size for price but felt quality was a little below what it should be. The sandwich could have used about 20% less butter and mayo, lettuce was oldish and fries could have been a bit more crispy.
Fair amount of gluten free options

We are huge fans of Cajun food and we’re so impressed! The chef is from New Orleans and the food was better than that when we were actually in NOLA. The view was beautiful and the food is some of the best we’d had in Bellingham. Highly recommend!
