What a treat as we wound up our trip from Fresno to Yellowstone. We needed to stop, eat and stretch our legs . Beautiful outdoor space to relax and refuel and refresh . Delicious sandwiches, and the home made pumpkin pie was spot on! Loved the garden! Great food!

Amazing restaurant in Lee Vining! We stopped by on our way to Convict Lake and boy were we glad we did. The chicken fried steak was enough for 3 people and the most delicious gravy!! Hubby had the bacon egg burrito which was also enormous. The staff was very sweet and cheerful. The chef popped out and I told him how amazing his food was.
The outside area is gorgeous and under beautiful huge trees so tons of shade.
We will definitely be going back to The Basin Cafe ❤️

This is a great little spot I found. I did not know that it was there. I needed breakfast and so I stopped and glad I did. I knew as soon as my milk came in a jar I was going to get a good country breakfast. I was not disappointed. The people running the spot where the nicest people around. I talked to the gentleman there for about 10 minutes before I even got back on the road. If you order the breakfast I would definitely suggest to get the French toast. If you are looking for a snack for the road then you might want to grab one of those salted caramel brownies or one of each of those cookies. The brownie I ate on the trip home and it was absolutely delicious. Next time I will try those cookies because they look like the best cookies I’ve seen.

This place fed us while we stayed at the Lake View Lodge next door. Pro tip is if you stay there you get 10% off at the basin cafe.
My favorite thing here was the breakfast burrito which I didn’t get to take a picture of because I inhaled it! It was thick, cheesy, and delicious. Perfect for filling you up before a long day of hiking in the area.
The service is also spectacular here where they were very accommodating to my partners food allergies.
You can also order from the toast app for easier take out orders. Although it’s better to order on the phone or in person as there were some mistakes when I used the app.
I recommend this place whole heartedly!

This little gem deserves 5 stars. The food was some of the best we’ve had since travelling around the U.S. for the last 2 weeks. It’s the start of the season so the front of house are backpackers and learning the ropes but are very friendly and accomadating. We have been here twice so far on our stay.

Stopped by for lunch after visiting Mono Lake, only 15 minutes away. We had a Philly Cheesesteak, a Gobbler Sandwich, and a Tostada Salad – Everything was delicious, and the portions were very satisfying. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean.

Everything about this place is great. Nice outside dining, great views from inside the restaurant, the food was great, great menu selection for being a small place, location isn’t that bad, a little of the between path but not hard to miss. Order the breakfast burrito for a quick bite while at work and it wasn’t bad at all. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast.
