I do not understand how this place is getting good reviews. Many years ago when this place was the Spiced Right BBQ and ran by the first owner, the food was great. Second owner, not so much. So, I decided to give this place a try. The food was sad to put it politely. The pulled pork was OK but cold. The stew and the slaw tasted like food service items and were loaded with sugar. Also, the cornbread was loaded with sugar. The nail in the coffin was the manager setting at a table in the dining area with receipts and papers covering the table while customers were trying to enjoy their lunch. How unprofessional!

Food was disgusting. No BBQ sauce with order. I order BBQ often, I have been getting BBQ from Jacks which is delicious but I wanted to try something new and The Barn has delivery through ubereats so I tried it. The green beans were literally just poured from a can, no seasoning or anything added. The pulled pork was dry and flavorless. The brisket had a strange texture so I got in my car and too the crap back. Yuck! Smokey Jacks isn’t far, its on Indian Trail in Norcross. If you want great service and food go there. I’ve never dined in but it looks like a nice family place to eat. Stay away from The Barn, I should have known the food would be gross because there was no SMOKE.

Just had some great barbecue here! Tried the ribs, pulled pork and the smoked chicken. Be forewarned the ribs are huge! The pulled pork is extremely tender. There used to be a Spiced Right on this location and I went there looking for that. Was not disappointed at all, once I tried their food.

Service was not the best. Kind of rude hostess/server Forcing herself to be nice or cordial as if we actually did something to her. She would definitely not want to be treated that way if she went out to eat. Portions are small for the price. Food was delicious though. I had the brisket. Extremely tender and moist. The stew was great as well.

Ok so the barn used to be me and my wife’s favorite bbq spot. It was kind of pricey so we would only go once in a while. The brisket was on point, along with the other meats. Their sides especially the beans were enough to have me coming back for more. Dude that cooked and took our orders was pretty cool, overall we loved the place. Fast forward about 9 months, we haven’t been in a while, we said yoooooo it’s barn time. WTH happened to this place? I ordered the same exact thing I order all the time, they switched up to these cheap fries, the brisket and pulled turkey was just cooked, no seasoning, no flavor, just I just boiled then thrown on the grill to burn the edges. No more baked beans, these are straight Kroger Brand pork n beans poured straight from the can. Dee -sgust -ting I will never go here again. I am extremely disappointed in this place. I get it, you’ve changed management, your trying to bring in more profit, cut cost( seasoning free zone) now y’all charge for the lil cups to put sauce in smh. They have changed this place for the worst.

Fried okra, hashbrown casserole, and Mac n cheese are on point! Staff is friendly and the new deck out front is very nice. The BBQ is fantastic and my family and I are regulars there. They serve big portions and the BBQ is smoked over pecan wood. Nice to have a good BBQ place in this area!

I use to love to eat at the barn but now who ever took over the barn smokehouse on Lawrenceville Hwy, they changed the whole menu, the baked beans are not sweet anymore, no more actual baked mac and cheese you can tell it’s no effort into the food anymore. Everything used to be full of flavor now you can’t even eat the meat without having the original bbq sauce since that seems to be the only thing that they kept the same. Overall it’s not the same place anymore the flavors are bland and horrible worst $30 spent.

My experience at this place was soooooo horrible. When I first arrived no one knew we even there. Then the waiter Nora comes over looking like she really didn’t want to be there very unfriendly. The tables were nasty everywhere at this point we should have left but they wanted to stay. Finally we orderd we had 4 orders. The first one that came out the fries was over cooked so we sent them back. The second order came and they put the over cooked fries on that order. Again we sent them back. The third order, the fries were under cooked I ate half and asked for a refund. The four order was Jerk chicken the smelled like plastic and look horrible. So at this point we requested the Manager. She came to the table to ask what was wrong looking frustrated as hell I explained to her. Everything was nasty and the cook needs to be let the hell go. So today me and my boyfriend are not feeling well because of this nasty restaurant. This was our actual first time visiting this place and sure as hell will be the last. PEOPLE BEWARE………..

I usually go to Publix’s deli for lunch being that they are close to my job, but I decided to try The Barn Smokehouse today. I regretted my decision shortly after I walked through the door. There was no one at the register, but I could hear someone rustling in the back. After a couple of minutes (I should have just left then) Beverly greeted me and said “I’ll be right with you”. Maybe my concept is time is a little different because I waited a total of 8min to place my order. 8min is not a lot of time, but it felt like an eternity being that I was the one and only customer in the building. I placed my order (lunch plate with brisket) and Beverly returned to the back. I assume the meats are kept in the kitchen because the side were up front in the hot bar. Not a problem…until I got back to work and opened the container. There was so little brisket in the container that I was in utter disbelief. This looked like a child’s meal. The portion was disrespectfully small, and to add insult to injury, a large portion of the brisket was FAT! I just paid $11 + tip for a portion of brisket so small, it fit comfortably on one slice of bread that could be folded into a sad makeshift sandwich. With the included slice of bread, there was more bread than brisket in the container. Needless to say, I didn’t expect to still be hungry after spending $11 on lunch. If you enjoy overpriced small portions of food, this place is for you. As a 207lbs adult man, this was an absolute waste of time & money. I will NEVER make the mistake of going back to this establishment.

Outstanding food. I’ve been two times and plan on going everytime I’m in the area. I had their ribs and brisket. I thought both meals were delicious. If you’re looking for a great meal with excellent sides I recommend The Barn Smokehouse in Lilburn. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Our group loved the staff especially with the head cook came to our table to ask how the food was.
