If you are looking for outstanding baked goods, the Bakeshop is the place to go. My husband and I stopped in during a downpour and didn’t realize they had no indoor seating. We returned the next day (when the rain had stopped) because the pastries looked so delicious; they were! I opted for the maple pecan scone which I thoroughly enjoyed. My pumpkin-loving husband chose the pumpkin muffin with streusel topping. We actually returned two days later and he enjoyed it a second time. My “everything” bagel was gourmet. Cost was reasonable for the quality. Breakfast sandwiches were also available but didn’t get to try one. Our cappuccinos were average. We loved the outdoor seating too (since the sun was finally out). Place is busy but they keep things moving.

Always a great stop. Small interior serving up daily flavors of croissants, muffins, pastries and fantastic pizza! Lattes, too. It was early when we visited, but the pizza was too hot and fresh to skip!

The bake shop is a place that is consistently busy…do not park in the 10 minute parking area out front because you will likely not get out in less than 15 minutes. That said, there’s a reason why they’re busy; because their food is excellent! My wife got the egg and cheese bagel whereas I got “the burg” and we shared the huge cookie butter glazed croissant (see photo, my fist is over 4″ wide). They didn’t have the scallion herb cream cheese so I chose the regular cream cheese but it was delicious none the less! Great portions for the price as well! The only reason for 4 stars is because of the coffee…I was really excited to learn that they make their own sauces for the coffee but I ordered the caramel latte and it just wasn’t good! Poor coffee flavor and you could have told me it was a plain latte and I would have believed it because I tasted no caramel…this is saying something because I did wine tasting for many years and tasted into the top 10% in the world so…there’s my credentials. Work on the coffee and you will easily earn 5 stars… regardless of the long wait time.

It’s a very cute place to get pastries, bread, bagels, sandwiches, and coffee items. Everything there is made in-house, even the flavored cream cheese. The staff that we encountered that morning were super cool and very eager to help with your selections. Very friendly and answered all our questions about certain items on the menu. The shop is set in a very quiet and quaint area with a seating area outside, under umbrellas. It was very enjoyable and we’ll definitely go back there on our next visit to Colonial Williamsburg, Va.

Imagine this… you stop in to Bake Shop for a quick $7 toasted bagel and cream cheese (with grubhub service fees) plus an orange scone from their pastry case. After waiting for 19 minutes of other orders being served before you, you get handed an untoasted bagel and no scone. Bake Shop consistently over-prices and under-delivers. Their pastry case is good but anything else will likely come out with components missing.

Loved everything about the bake shop! Went here 2 times on our 4 day trip down to Williamsburg. The matcha was really smooth and tasted REAL. Their bagels are spot on, I’m a big lox fan so willamsburg bagel was amazing on that Asiago bagel. Deff a must visit

Drip coffee cap was loose. Coffee spilled everywhere.
I paid for bacon for my avocado toast -$3.00- only to have imaginary bacon added. No bacon but they were sure to charge the 3 dollars. Iced coffee was good. $42.04 for an incomplete meal. Thank youuuuuuu!

The food is good, the bagels are very good, and the staff was super nice. But they are clearly understaffed. We waited 30 minutes for a bagel and a breakfast sandwich. By the time we got our food, one of our drinks was cold. I’d recommend this spot if you have a relaxed morning. Wouldn’t recommend it if you have to be somewhere like work.

I’ve been with the Bake Shop for a long time. The sandwiches and coffee are great and that keeps me coming back. What frustrates me is a wait time of 15 minutes with no more than 5 people in the store. If it’s packed and busy, I totally understand waiting. But I’ve visited many other bagel joints and the wait time is max 10 minutes, even if it’s busy.

Had a Poppy Seed Bagel and it was pretty good. Decent size, nice flavor, super fresh, and toasted and buttered perfectly! I also saw a nice selection of other menu items that I’d like to try in the very near future. The only con I have is paying almost $5 for a toasted buttered bagel.
