Welcome to The BYG! We are a locally owned family restaurant that specializes in burgers, beer and fun. We opened our doors in the summer of 2001 with a purpose of providing quality product and services to obtain loyalty from our guests and to support our local community. Although we are known for our craft burgers, we have nearly 100 items on the menu to choose from. We have the best beer program in the Cy fair area with 48 beers on tap and over 50 different bottles. Our Bucket of Destruction is our own line of hot sauces that will add spice to your taste buds — or purchase one from or BYG Texas Store. We would like to thank all of our wonderful guests for supporting us over the years and look forward to seeing you soon.

Being in the neighborhood, I decided to give this place a try. From the street, it has that classic, casual “beer and a ballgame” vibe, and the interior doesn’t disappoint. The decor is designed to mimic the outdoors, creating a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of booths, tables, and a full-service bar in the back.
The Experience
Since it was my first visit, I was greeted with complimentary chips and salsa. While the chips were perfectly crisp and the salsa was served warm (a nice touch), the salsa was very mild and lacked the “kick” or spice I usually look for.
The service was a highlight—the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure I was taken care of throughout the meal.
The Food
The menu is massive, making it a great spot for groups because there is truly something for everyone. I went with the Chicken Fried Steak.
Portion & Value: I ordered the “small” lunch portion, which was surprisingly generous and very reasonably priced.
The Steak: Cooked perfectly with a satisfyingly crunchy batter.
The Sides: It came with “garlic” mashed potatoes and toast. The potatoes had a great texture (skins-on and chunky), but I couldn’t taste any garlic. The toast was perfectly browned but arrived dry; it definitely needed butter.
Final Verdict
Overall, it was a solid experience with good food and a welcoming environment. While some of the seasonings were a bit shy (specifically in the salsa and potatoes), the quality of the cooking was high. I’ll definitely be back to try one of their flame-grilled burgers, as they looked excellent on the menu!

Came in on a Saturday with friends for lunch and three Beast food challenges. The manager was cool and had an area for us to sit since it was 10 of us. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was pretty good. As far as the challenge goes, all three participants failed miserably. They all had fun tho.

I just tried this place for the first time. The atmosphere was nice in the staff was very friendly. The appetizer we ordered was delicious that I was not as happy with my meal that I got. I do not recommend the pecan crusted chicken as it’s not actually crusted it’s just chicken with some sort of gravy and sweet pecans laid on top of it. I would be willing to try to go back but next time will be definitely ordering something different.

My wife and I came over here tonight to have dinner. I hadn’t been here in a couple of years, so I was curious to see if the fried catfish was as good as I remember it being. I was not disappointed. The green beans were also awesome, as were the sweet potato fries. My wife had the Honey glazed jalapeño salmon with mushrooms and sweet potato fries. Both meals were fantastic and we even got to see our friends Samantha, who works there.

I’ve eaten here a lot and frequently have arranged for business lunches here as well. I’ve always been greeted with a smile at the door and the staff seems that genuinely care about serving you. The menu is large, but also seasonal so you can enjoy different things throughout the year. Food arrives quickly and cooked exactly how I would do it at home. Doesn’t seem like it sits under a warmer very long at all. I’d recommend the catfish and the chicken fried steak. The sides are also delicious. It’s not heavy food unless you order it that way. I’d bring my whole family here.

The atmosphere, service & food were ALL a 10/10… And in all my 50 years, I have NEVER said that about a restaurant before now.
I got a couple good photos of our food, but sadly, we tore into the spinach dip & before I could stop long enough to take a photo, we had eaten half. ♀️
The prices are very reasonable and the portions you get are well worth the money.
You definitely need to flag this on your maps as a place to try if you’re ever in the area of 2920/1960.
Burgers… Sandwiches…soups/salads… Fajitas… Fish… And more! Such a variety … there’s a dish for every picky eater in your family.
Indoor seating feels like you’re outdoors–complete with a giant fake tree in the middle of the restaurant, and tons of outdoor seating as well–compete with a small sandbox for the little ones.
HUGE BONUS— Pet-friendly inside & out!! We took our puppy with us today and (naturally) kept him in his carrier, and the staff was so loving toward him.
We will definitely be going back. ❤️

The best burgers and sandwiches! It’s all about the amazing bread and creativity of the menu. So many options to choose from, tacos burgers huge mains and amazing appetizers. Great neighborhood hang out inside and out has a great atmosphere. Good drink and beer menu. Crawfish season here is a great deal!
