I had such high hopes for this place. The menu had a lot of different choices but I was there for the ribs. Unfortunately they were sold out of those so I opted for the beef brisket dinner and the hubby ordered the pulled pork dinner. Both dinners included two sides. I chose the hand-cut fries and the macaroni and cheese. He chose the baked beans and the coleslaw. First the positive aspect of the meals. The fries were fresh and hot. Sad to say that’s pretty much it. There were three pieces of the beef brisket and the majority of it was fat. This was a $21 meal so to say this was disappointing would be a huge understatement. The macaroni and cheese was a bright yellow and definitely did not taste like any kind of macaroni and cheese I have ever had. The pulled pork was a slab of pork and also covered in fat. He left most of his $17 meal on the plate and this is a guy who never leaves leftovers so that pretty much says it all. The atmosphere was very dark and rustic (in a bad way)and some of the tables were actually patio type tables that were right next to the bar. Overall this was the worst dining experience I have ever had and I’m in my 60’s so that’s saying a lot.

Best burger ever, just like how I remember when I was younger! I really can’t emphasize how good the food is here, I had some fried cheesecurds that were literally what I’ve been searching for all my life! The humble interior really makes me think that this place is a diamond in the rough. Once again come here for delicious food! Oh and when I was there a ukulele player was performing in the bar area, very nice. Update: This just might be my favorite place to eat, had their Friday fish fry and boy did it impress! It comes with soup or a salad; I had the salad and it had cucumbers, carrot slices, onions, black olives, and I choose to smother it in blue cheese dressing, delicious! Now for the main dish I went with fried walleye, French fries, and it comes with coleslaw and rye bread: the fish (while only two pieces) was done perfectly, the French fries are done from scratch and lovely, and the coleslaw was a nice calm compliment to everything else. Also their tartar sauce is unlike anyone else’s, what a unique delicious flavor! I highly recommend eating here if you ever have the opportunity!

We stopped in for lunch when in the area for a wedding at the Osthoff Resort today. The food was very good, our meal started with a spicy bloody Mary which was perfectly hot. Our party enjoyed the rack of ribs, which had a very good flavor and were fall off the bone. I had a pulled pork sandwich with a side of beans and mac n cheese. We really enjoyed talking with Brad the bartender and enjoyed a nice shot of delicious tequila. I would recommend this place!!

We absolutely love this place. Very welcoming and friendly owner and staff. The BBQ is top notch. We got the smoked brisket, ribs and the wings. The dry rub and smokiness on the ribs were phenomenal. So juicy and flavorful! The wings were nice and big and some of the best I’ve ever had. Well worth the drive from Milwaukee north shore!

A hidden gem convenient to Plymouth and Elkhart Lake. Stopped in for breakfast and beverage prior to a soccer game in the area. The atmosphere was eclectic and interesting, food and drinks were great, and friendly conversationalists!

We came here for the first time today after a hike and were very happy with the food and service! We had cheese curds for an appetizer and they were very crispy and delicious! My boyfriend had a burger and sweet potato fries. He said he really enjoyed both. I had the Mac and cheese with chicken and I also enjoyed it! Our waitress was very friendly and kind. There was live music so that was really fun too! We would plan to go again for sure. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming.

I have had BBQ in FL, GA, AL, TX, and MO and this is the only place I have never wanted to put sauce on their brisket (even though their sauces taste great too). My last visit instead of brisket I tried their pulled pork and again it was the same experience the bark and flavor of the pork didn’t require sauce. Every time I go there, I eat way too much and have never had anything bad.
