11/10 for pizza that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Go to back room! The place feels like a hole in the wall, and that’s how you know you’re in the right spot.

Watched the cook pour bacon grease right down the sink drain, drop the bacon on the sink then pick it up and put it right back on the pan. My pizza slice was cold, and the workers scoffed when I asked if I could have it put in the oven for a minute or something.
Worker charged my card and forgot to hand it back.
Horrible first impression.

massive slice for $3.50, each slice is a quarter of a ~12″ pie, rlly doughy but still tastes decent, has outdoor seating

Went for the first time in a decade plus last week. Pizza was good, but not the same as the thinner crust served in a foil wrap that it once was.

This hoppin joint had some killer slices, perfect for a night on the town. The chairs on the curb made for a perfect, romantic evening. Also, it was nice to find a place open that wasn’t a bar at that time. It was great pizza.

The atmosphere isn’t great – doesn’t seem to clean and it’s a really small space… That being said, the price for a slice is unbeatable The slices are huge and as of now, the price for cheese is only $3!! Pizza itself is fine. Nothing to blow you away, but solid overall.

Wow. This used to be a good slice of pizza back in 2012, what the heck happened? What once was a great NY style slice of greasy pie for $1.50 now costs $3.50 and looks like it came out of a Cisco deep freezer.

The crust is now super dense white bread, the cheese tastes fake, the pepperoni is flavorless. Probably the worst slice I’ve had.

I feel bad for the kids if this is what they get now. I know some of it is nostalgia, but this truly misses the mark.

Aptly named, The Back Room is the underground, undiscovered, cheaper version of Joe’s except with thick crust pizza. My go to college struggle meal.

Fresh dough made in house. Cheese, supreme, or pepperoni round crust pizza by the slice or pie. Breadsticks with a mozzarella center too. So delicious and affordable. A fantastic local treasure for a college town with nightlife.

This place is the worst !!
Their slices are so hard and dry %99 of the time, they don’t take card payment I WONDER WHY. And the service sucks.

They are not honest and they lie a lot.

I have had this liying problem with them multiple times, starting with that bold manager they have, the one that I asked multiple times about their pepperoni pizza if it was pork or beef and he used to say that its beef, and he knew that I was asking for religious reasons but obviously he did not care, I could tell that it did not taste like beef this is why I used to ask everytime until I got another employee that told me that it was pork.
Also they always say that the slices are made only 30 minutes ago but you can tell that they are at least an hour when you see how hard and dry they are.
And the last problem was when i told them that it was so hard and its for sure more than 30 minutes so I told him that i would wait until the new one comes out of the oven so he got mad on me, gave me my money back and said that he doesnt wanna sell me anything.
I went to the brown jug since they are the same owner to see the manager, and I told them about the problem and i told them What happened, they said that the owner is calling me but nobody did, stay away from these not honest people.
