It’s such a great atmosphere, and the food is awesome I had the bbq pork nachos both times we’ve been there. My hubby had the corned beef sandwich. Great flavor on everything!

Stopped in for a drink on New Year’s Eve and stayed for dinner. My wife and I both enjoyed the bluegill and a couple of drinks. Logan, our server, was very pleasant and efficient. Highly recommended.

Great small town bar feel. The Reuben is awesome. Service was on point. Well maintained and trimmed out. Not very expensive, 75$ plus tip for a whole lotta drinks and two meals(with leftovers).

We love the Village Hideaway! There is nothing that we have tried that we didn’t like or care for. Their staff hustles around and all the wait staff assist you. You don’t have to ask for drink refills, their are friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. We normally do take out, but it’s such a cozy and eclectic atmosphere. If you’re from town, you run into someone you know, if you’re passing through you feel like you are one of their own.

IMO they could use some more U of M decor 😉

The ‘Junk Food Connoisseur’ pays a visit. I stopped here for the 1st time. I brought with my mom and kids for the experience. We got a burrito and 3 burgers. Everyone rated the food a 4 out of 5, and said we would return.

I ordered the large Zombie Dust and was too drive to drink home. Fortunately, my mom was with me. Yes, my mommy drove me home. Check the picture for the amount!

On the way home from a trip and went out of the way a bit to eat here. Well worth it. The pickle cheese curds yummy. Along with a generous dinner salad. Mine with sirloin cooked perfectly. Cozy atmosphere. Great prices.

We were lucky, we didn’t have to wait for a table. They don’t take reservations, so sometimes it is tough to get a table.

The perch basket was great. The service was great, as usual. We enjoyed dinner

BEST REUBENS I’ve ever had, nice chunks of meat on it but soooo tender, the establishment was packed but still got our food in a decent time and nice cold varieties of beers, I loved the frozen glasses nobody wants a warm beer! Keep doing what you guys are doing, as it’s all amazing!!

Variety of sandwiches, wraps, some pizza, and a few baskets. Never had a bad meal. What makes the place best around is the wait staff. While you may have someone take your order, everyone there will (and does) serve you and your needs. All very friendly, they all keep moving which to me is a sign that they are in it for the best customer experience possible. Lots of choices in Portage or Kalamazoo, but we seem to end up here often!
