I love the vibe here. Great atmosphere, great games, absolutely legendary Akuma players show up sometimes, the list goes on!

This is a great place if you want to enjoy some great cocktails with live music (rock). They have an awesome atmosphere. As soon as you enter you get a nice chill vibe. In terms of drinks, we had their hollander 1945 and one of the specials which was peach flavored gin+ginger beer. They have a great selection of beers as well! The only issue for me was the service. You have to go to the bar to order anything. Given that the place is too crowded, the two bartenders there clearly seemed overworked and people had to wait long to order. Other than that, everything was great. One should definitely enjoy the arcade games while there.

Great atmosphere, fun games, no big screen TVs, plenty of fun local shows and friendly staff. They have just enough variety of tasty craft beers, cheap domestic lager, and a handful of great non-alcoholic options. Love the Okonomi fries and rotating fresh specials featuring ingredients from the farmers market. Thanks for keeping the east side fun and queer 🙂

I really enjoy going to this bar. They have some of the best ramen in the area (including vegan options!) They have a decent selection of beers and a rotating list of cocktails as well. Lots of pinball machines and some arcade games, on top of the bar standard pool tables and darts. The food is good, and the staff is friendly. The live music and karaoke nights can be hit or miss but I always have fun anyway.

I think coming to a bar in general was a bad idea for me. It was loud with bad early 2000’s pop remixes blaring in the background and it was so hot in there. Kitchen was closed when we got there. It would be cool if that information was posted somewhere easily accessible. I really enjoyed the raspberry sour beer. Also there were wasabi peas.

The Ave is such a East side staple. The staff is awesome and very funny. One time I made a joke about my friend to the waitress and she took out a slide whistle. They also have a ton of different events happening, so even on the weekdays, The Ave is always hopping. The space is also very LGBTQ+ friendly. They have pride flags hanging, queer staff, and their bathrooms aren’t gender designated (also check out the stall graffiti, it’s awesome). Finally, the pinball machines are so fun. I don’t really play pinball, but every time I’m there I end up dropping like $20 worth of quarters on the pinball machines.

Definitely embraced by the bohemian community of Lansing. Welcoming staff and clientele. Pinball, PBR, and Pho all under one roof.

I had a blast here! Seemed like a good spot for live music. They had way more pinball machines then I thought they would have. The food was super good. I highly recommend the miso ramen!! Our fried food was good but little dark witch just means they need new oil. But it still tasted very good. I would recommend coming here. Very good spot for casual date so for my s cond trip I’m little upset… Some guy named rose was licking us out and being rude.. we were in end of pool game and about to end and he didn’t let us finish… They had to of made more then 30,000 that not ght with there birthday bash witch I came up from Ohio for just that…. I traveled over 2 hrs away…. Serves was ok… Could been better I’ll come back one more time and if it doesn’t change it’s getting another star taken away….I’m sorry but not sorry I do alot of reviews

This place is freaking awesome! I drove up from Texas and will be staying in the area for quite some time for work. I found The Avenue Cafe via the Pinball Map App. I believe the total count of pins was 41. All of them are in great condition, too. One credit for all pins was $1 and most of them offered 3 plays for $2. The bartenders were super friendly and made me feel right at home. Cool crowd, as well. I tried their chicken and rice bowl and it hit the spot! I will definitely be hanging out at this place while I’m in town and highly recommend it to all pinheads.

Great grunge bar with lots of pinball tables. I did have two tables fail on my in one night, which is a shame. But it seems most tables were very well maintained.
