Reviews
Amaravati has become our go-to Indian restaurant in Greenville, and honestly, it has never disappointed us. Whether dining à la carte or enjoying their buffet, the food is consistently flavorful, authentic, and comforting- just like home.
We’ve tried a wide variety of dishes here over multiple visits, and every single one has been excellent:
Chole Bhature – Perfectly spiced chole with soft yet crisp bhature. Rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. One of the best we’ve had outside India.
Dosas (next-level amazing!)
• Mysore Masala Dosa – Crispy, golden, with that signature spicy Mysore chutney layer that adds a beautiful kick.
• Paneer Tikka Dosa – A unique and delicious fusion; smoky paneer tikka filling wrapped in a perfectly crisp dosa.
• Paneer Dosa & Egg Dosa – Generous fillings, well-seasoned, and cooked just right.
• Pesarattu – Authentic and flavorful, paired wonderfully with chutneys—true Andhra-style comfort food.
Veg Korma – Creamy, mildly spiced, and packed with vegetables. Balanced flavors without being overly sweet or heavy.
Buffet – We’ve had their buffet several times, and it’s always fresh, well-managed, and full of variety. Great representation of South Indian and North Indian dishes, with consistent quality every time.
✨ What really stands out is the consistency- the taste, freshness, spice levels, and presentation are spot on every visit. The chutneys and sambar deserve a special mention: fresh, fragrant, and clearly made with care.
If you’re craving authentic South Indian food, excellent vegetarian options, or just a reliable Indian meal that never lets you down, Amaravati is a must-visit in Greenville.
Highly recommend-once you start coming here, you’ll keep coming back!
However, their service is not upto the mark. I felt they rushed while taking orders.
The buffet line starts with vegetarian dishes and they’re all legit. The paneer is probably the best in all of the buffets in Gvegas. Nice, thick, and soft. I would honestly go back just for that. They do veggie stir fry here which no other buffet really does. The naan is superb for buffet naan. All their meat is halal! For some reason, their chicken tikka is called chicken kebab and their labeled chicken tikka is chicken tikka wings. Fire either way. Their lamb and legit but pungently lamby. As part of the buffet, they offer dosa. Use the peanut chutney with it. Don’t be a bozo like me who missed the dessert section of the buffet. And the lassi and chai.
