I love Thai Food, and imagine my surprise when the winter weather forced me to stop for the night, and I found this delicious gem close to the freeway !!!

The Prik Khing was amazing and flavorful. The wonton soup was the perfect appetizer and and the staff and atmosphere were both friendly and warm. Last Chance for great food, especially if you’re heading into Southern Ohio at night.

We were passing thru on our way from VA to Ohio and wanted to eat lunch before we got on US 35. A quick Google search gave us excellent reviews for this Thai restaurant and we decided to give it a try.

DO NOT let the outside strip mall turn you away. It is most likely the original strip mall and the new one is built in front of it. The outside area looks kind of dated and run down but the inside of the restaurant is very nice and inviting and wonderful (see my pics)

The customer service was excellent and the food was FANTASTIC. we are vegetarian and we loved our food, the flavors were perfect. When we entered it was quite full which was very reassuring to see.

You will NOT be disappointed if you go and you will be missing out if you DONT go 🙂

We will definitely add this to our future stops when we go back and forth from Ohio to VA

Authentic Thai cuisine! having lived in Thailand I was worried that we couldn’t find good Thai food in the region as we plan to set shop here in the future! I was pleasantly surprised! I got the Tom Yum soup with a bowl of rice and Phad Woon sen. Delicious soup! , it was nicely sour and very rich in flavour, not watered down at all which is very common in restaurants. The glass noodle dish was very authentic using common Thai vegetables. My bf got the laarb and Pad See Ew, both were spot on dishes! For drinks we got the virgin mojito, they did not skimp on the mint! By noon time the place wad packed. There was one waitress who did a great job keeping up with the orders. Overall what a pleasant experience, we will sure be back! For two people with Tip it ran about $100

This place has a nice quiet vibe. Staff were great and took our order quickly. We ordered Summer Rolls with Avocado and they were so good that I didn’t catch a pic.
Main dish was Drunkin Noodles and Woon Sen Pad Thai. Both were delicious and came out hot and fresh. Didn’t feel overly stuffed afterwards

The exceptional quality of the food, generous portions, and reasonable prices far exceeded my expectations. My pineapple fried rice and my wife’s red curry were both expertly prepared, showcasing a generous use of spices and coconut milk. The owner’s warm and welcoming demeanor enhanced the dining experience. Conveniently located in a small shopping center called Putnam Village Shopping Center. Directly adjacent to Liberty Square, off Highway 64’s Teays Valley exit, this restaurant offers unparalleled value and quality in Thai cuisine.

We were passing through West Virginia on our way to Indiana. The town of Hurricane (what a great name!) was halfway so we opted to spend the night there. As an aside, we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express which seems to be the best option in the area. Perusing Google and Yelp, I saw lots of favorable reviews for Thai Valley Kitchen. Huh, in West Virginia? What the heck – we decided to give it a try. All I can say is “Wow”. What a hidden jewel. Don’t be deceived by the exterior or half vacant strip mall. The interior is open and cheery. The wait staff is accommodating and very sweet. We ordered a glass of Deloach Merlot, and they poured a nice size serving. For dinner, we shared egg rolls, the Tuna Tower and the Seared Tuna. Everything was delicious! We were both jockeying to get the last bite. The Tuna was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. It came with a mango salsa that matched perfectly. Now, I could go on and on about the tuna tower. It is a pile of spicy, tender tuna chunks on top of more chunks of avocado and mango. We could have eaten another one! I will say it was a bit zesty for us but that didn’t stop us from wolfing it down. When we asked, the waitress did respond that they can make it less spicy – duly noted for the next time. Please open a restaurant in Ruckersville, VA! We need you!

Almost speechless for how good my meal was.

I love finding restaurants with something unique on their menu, even if I don’t order from it, I like to see the stand out menu options.

Anyways, like most cuisines whenever I try a new place I have a typical staple dish.

Although they had something I never heard of called Jungle Curry, my particular choice for Thai food it’s always Massaman Curry, it’s a bit weird but I have tried all the colored Curries and Green Curry would be my 2nd favorite.

Massaman is typically a beautiful blend of sweet and spice with the sweet being peanut base, and the complimenting ingredients mostly are potato and rice.

Anyways, for the most rural town I can find myself in for the evening, Nitro WV, I basically found almost the best representation I can find.

Previous 1st was PakPao Dallas TX Short rib Massaman, anyways I have had probably the dish 100-200 times in my lifetime and again from first bite to completely clean dish it jumped immediately to top 2 if not best ever.

Kudos to whoever’s cooking and whoever’s recipe but great work, and hopefully I make it back to try the Jungle Curry.

Overall, place definitely didn’t disappoint as one of the top ranked restaurants in small town according to Google maps, and next to, and within walking distance to the best ranked Hotel in 50 mile radius.

2nd pic added for landmark, if you don’t take shortcut behind car-lot fence, to get to “strip mall” you will walk a long way to get to driving entrance, if you walked from hotel.

We stopped here for a late lunch and found this restaurant after hearing great things about it. We frequent E.T. in South Charleston quite frequently, but this was our first time here. We were surprised to find 5 or 6 tables filled even though it was almost 3 PM.
We were greeted by friendly staff and
ordered seafood Drunken noodles for me. My wife wasn’t very hungry, so she tried the 3 egg roll appetizer and said it was the best that she ever had, anywhere (we’ve traveled extensively). I tried the 6 pc spring roll wraps with peanut dipping sauce and they were: “Oh, sooooo good!” My entre’ was so tasty and satisfying with large sea scallops, shrimp, and thin, tender straps of squid. The sauce was just right, and the blend of vegetables and wide noodles made for a most delicious dish. I washed it down with a tall Sapporo beer. The prices were very good, too!
If you’re traveling down Rt 64, get off at the Hurricane Teays Valley exit. Head into the large shopping Plaza towards Home Depot. It’s in the last strip of stores adjoining them.
I can say that when we’re in the area, we will be stopping here again. I recommend this authentic Thai restaurant!

I’ve been here twice and absolutely love it! The Phir King, Drunken Noodles, and Basil Fried Rice are bursting with amazing flavor. The food is consistently delicious and the service is exceptional. They also offer a few drink options that perfectly complement the meal. The Mango Sticky Rice and Crème Brûlée are must-try desserts! Highly recommended.
