We found this spot on TikTok and what a find it turned out to be. We visited GoOystuh, which is located inside of Texas Tailgate. Parking is limited, so be prepared for that, but it is absolutely worth the effort.
Jon is a humble, down-to-earth Houston native who makes truly delicious food. What stood out most was that he did not just prepare the food, he also took the time to sit with us, talk, and share his story and process. On top of that, they were jamming the whole time, which made the experience even better. It is rare to see an owner that hands on and genuinely invested in both the food and the people they serve.
We learned a lot about his journey and appreciated how open and welcoming he was. You can tell there is real passion behind what he is building, and we sincerely hope he continues to succeed.
