We had an excellent meal. Ordered steak, fish n chips, steak tartar, and Caesar salad. Each one of them were prepared fresh and balanced well. I have been passing by here for years, but got to try to celebrate birthday here. Definitely will come back. Great service and atmosphere. Restaurant was clean but restroom was a bit cramped.

Had a gathering with friends here a few days ago and we were all very satisfied! The food was amazing — especially the duck leg, beef tartare, and beef ribs. The cocktails were also delicious. Great atmosphere and service.
They open at 5 PM for dinner — highly recommended!

Had a birthday dinner here. Food was prepared quickly and cooked to impeccably very juicy and delicious. Had many interesting appetizer items. I’d recommend steaks it seemed undercooked at first but it does not eat as it looks. Would come back to try other menu items as well.

The dinner took about 3 hours from start to finish. The slowest service I have ever experienced. Almost every table was filled in the bottom floor and there was only one waitress working that night. Waitress was great but slightly inexperienced, but the issue is management here allocating one waitress for a busy night.
Started off bad because I reserved a week in advance for the second floor seating. They said yes during the call, but they did not open the second floor that night.
The food was amazing and we enjoyed every dish we ordered. The duck stood out the most for me for the main course and the lava cake was probably one of the best desserts I have eaten.
However, our drinks took about 2 hours to arrive. We ate the entire meal with no water no drinks. The waitress told us multiple times our drinks will come but ended up taking 2 hours to come. Whole service from start to finish was slow and I saw a table leave because they ran out of patience after waiting 30+ minutes to order. Saw another young couple walk in to be seated but never seated and they walked away as well.
Food was so good but the slowness and poor management is inexcusable.

The dinner was good. The servers were friendly. The price is good for the venue. The restaurant building is nice too. I would have given it a higher rating. But the dining experience was knocked off by a few things: 1) the air conditioning was broken during a hot summer night. 2) there are unsightly boxes and stuff piled up at the entrance and under the staircase, the dining room now looks like a cheap cafeteria. 3) They have a balcony upstair that is poorly maintained. Glass fence not cleaned, decorative rocks all over the place.
This would be a great restaurant when these small things are taken care of

Nice spot for French/European cuisine in the Markham area.
Went with a group of seven and they accommodated us upstairs.
Service were attentive.
No specials which was interesting.
Atmosphere was nice and be good for a quiet date night. As long as there was a group beside you. (Like us).
So a few families with kids there, which was interesting.
Got some appetizers to share.
Calimari and mussels were nice.
We got the dinner portion for the beef tartar to share as an appetizer, which was good.
I got the duck confit.
Nicely cooked on a big bed of salad.

It my first time here. And I got a very good experience in Terre Rouge Craft Kitchen First of all, the snails in the starter are delicious, and then the duck breast with pumpkin, which I love. Duck breast with pumpkin sauce is really the perfect flavor. It’s not sour, it’s not sweet and it’s a perfect blend of duck flavours. Finally, there’s my favorite spaghetti with cuttlefish sauce, with the lobster tail wrapped in a thick creamy taste in your mouth, which makes your taste buds feel full. The other thing is that the environment is very nice, there are not many people in the restaurant when I go. But the service attitude was great, the waiter kept asking how the food tasted and kept adding water. Overall it was a very good experience

Great dinner service at this modern French restaurant located in downtown Markham.
We ordered appetizers, main entree and dessert. Food quality was excellent. Service is above average. Restaurant decor is up to date.
Food is flavored on the lighter side, which is perfectly fine for my taste buds. The restaurant and wait staff don’t offer black pepper or grated cheese with their main entrees.
Caesar salad was lightly dressed but had lots of parmesan, cured bacon bits and croutons. I would recommend the Duck Confit and Pan Seared Arctic Char for main entrees. Dessert was standard affair. We had the Coconut Creme Brulee.
Service was pretty good, the head chef stopped by the table to ensure the food tasted good. However, I wished the restaurant would provide a change of cutlery between appetizers and main entree.
Atmosphere was a modern wood and metal decor feel. Tablecloth and napkins were high quality. There is no background music, which is good for table conversations.

If I can put 6 stars on service, I will for sure! Food was actually very good! Just one of the dishes has a very little incident (I don’t use the term ‘issue’ as that was not a big deal), the server took it back to the kitchen and make another new for me. The chef came out with a very sincere apology though again, really not a very big deal! They made me feel very comfortable! I am sure I will return next time! Appreciate all the quick responses on this little ‘incident’. Thank you so much!

We almost ordered everything on the menu! The flavour was delicious. The duck confit salad was surprisingly beautiful.
The owner is so warm and made the effort to say hi both times I was here.
