Craig and Randy are magicians! Watching them work the 4pm door open slam for drinks is nothing short of art. I’ve never seen such a well run team of bartenders! Wow! They put out probably 100 mixed cocktails, wine, beer, in the space of 26 minutes.

Give these guys a raise!!!!

I highly recommend this Italian restaurant if you’re visiting Indian Wells.

The food is unreal. We enjoyed everything we ordered. See pictures for more details.

The service is amazing. Our server Jose, was so helpful and attentive. He was also very friendly. All staff were amazing! They really added to the positive experience.

Atmosphere is really nice. It is family friendly yet high end. White linen table cloths, beautiful decor, slow paced dining that makes you enjoy the experience.

I can’t wait to return the next time we are in the area.

Sometimes Old School is the Best School! Impeccable service and delicious food. The staff made us feel so welcome and the timing/pacing of the meal was perfect.

We ordered off the Happy Hour menu and I have to say the portion sizes were very good. The linguini puttanesca and spaghetti bolognese were both very authentic with the right ingredients and consistency. Add red pepper flakes if you want it spicier. The eggplant parmigiana was excellent! Well cooked and very authentic. It is hard to get this dish right and Mamma Gina did.

We were sat a dirty table and even though we asked for it to be cleaned they only gave it a superficial wipe. We just moved to a different table. It is a little loud. In spite of this we will definitely return the food is that good.

On a special weekend with friends, we could have gone to dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area, but Ristorante Mamma Gina had the best reviews for SERVICE. Let me tell you, the reviews did not lie! I booked through OpenTable, and Olivia called me to confirm the reservation time because she noticed that the time on the reservation didn’t sound right. When we got there, Zaldi greeted us and presented us with a personal touch that Olivia arranged for us that was SO SPECIAL! I’m talking, “Eleven Madison Park” and Will Guidara levels of hospitality. Because of Olivia, we will always remember that dinner! Aaron (spelling?) took care of us that night. He was helpful, professional, and funny. As for food, the capellini al pomodoro was SO good, and the sautéed spinach (Florentine style) was so delicious. Never been to Florence and can’t speak on Florentine-style anything, but Mamma Gina’s way is the only way spinach should ever be cooked from here to eternity. SO GOOD! (And non-dairy, btw)

One of the best welcoming ever!! I was very impressed.
The food was good. Thought the prosciutto and melon was a bit small compared to other places and melon could have been a bit more ripe. My shrimp though was very good.
We all loved the tiramisu!! And that bread basket was delicious!!!

Where do I start? I booked their private dining room for a party of 15 mid December for our office Christmas gift exchange. The moment I walked into the dining room, I was shocked by how beautifully they decorated the table for us. In the past 15 years of booking parties, I have never seen such attention to detail. It looked like a florist came in and built, beautiful Christmas centerpieces with real candles. The overall feeling was warm and cozy like you had been invited to your best friends wine cellar. The staff were so professional and handled our orders like pros. We started with just about every appetizer they offered, and were delighted by the delicious flavors and freshness of everything. We did not opt for a set menu as everyone in our party has different taste. Again, we probably ordered almost every option on the menu between us. Every single order from salmon to halibut and steak were cooked to absolute perfection. The seasonings were mouthwatering and everyone kept saying over and over again that it was the best they had ever had. Dessert and drinks were delicious as well. I cannot believe I had never been to this restaurant before. Definitely will be back. You impressed the hell out of me Mama Gina’s!
Thank you for a memorable evening!

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience at Mamma Gina’s! We managed to book a table for a group of 13 just 45 minutes before arriving on a Monday night, and they handled it flawlessly—seating us comfortably in their private banquet room.
From the start, the staff impressed us with their warm welcome and attentive service. Our waters were constantly topped off, and we were served two kinds of warm bread accompanied by a delicious olive tapenade. The waiter kindly explained, “We can change the pasta type or sauce on your meal, so don’t hesitate to ask,” which really highlighted their flexibility and hospitality.
The food was outstanding. Starters included Caesar and mixed salads (each large enough to share), a beet salad packed with fresh beets, flavorful bruschetta, and minestrone soup. Several of us took the waiter’s recommendation and ordered the special lasagna—layered with a subtle, savory meat sauce and a heavenly béchamel white sauce accompanied by sautéed spinach. Others enjoyed the rigatoni with sausage and peppers, linguine puttanesca, and pomodoro—all cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, ensuring delicious leftovers the next day.
Mamma Gina’s also offers a well-curated wine list and a full bar. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding service, top-quality food, generous portions, and inviting atmosphere. Several people in our group were still raving about the meal days later and telling others to give it a try—you’ll have a delightful dining experience!

I don’t expect much out in the middle of nowhere in the desert. Wow did this place change my mind. Let’s get into it.

Upon walking in we had reservations already.
The table they gave us was a good spot.
I chose the special for the night.

Halibut over a light white wine butter sauce.
With green beans and mash potatoes.
Halibut was seasoned lightly with salt, pepper and capers. Yes I said seasoned with capers lol.
The halibut was delicious, highly recommend.

The mash potatoes were meh. And it was about to deduct a star for that. However I’ll explain why not.

Green beans perfect. With just the right amount of butter.

Oh and I got the bruschetta.
Tomatoes and basil very fresh.
Light olive oil.
Bread with the bruschetta was extremely over toasted. Was about to send it back. But was focused on the halibut too much.

Restaurant was very clean.
Staff was EXCELLENT.
From the front, to the manager and the server. Not a single problem.

So would I recommend this place? Most definitely.
If you want some good Italian food in this area definitely check it out.

Staff: excellent
Decor: modern
Cleanliness: very clean
Food: above average
Bathroom: clean

Only reason for the 4 was because of the bruschetta.
When I return this may change to a 5 when I ask for the bread to be less toasted.

9 people at the table and 15 minutes from the time the first and last entrees came out. Mediocre service at best. Veal dishes good. Osso bucco just ok. I’ve had much better for much less. Disappointing. Won’t return any time soon
