Beautiful restaurant with bright decor and Spanish music. Servers were very attentive. Food was excellent and I grew up on Tex Mex! The sampler appetizer was excellent for a meal. The chips are thin and crispy not hard like some restaurants corn chips. Salsa did taste like it had chili powder in it which I would leave out but overall this was an Excellent experience!

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Food was amazing. Large portions. We especially liked the rice, beans, chips and salsa, guacamole, and everything else. (Such friendly and efficient service! Everyone was so nice.). Very nice building and decorated so beautiful. Very clean. We will return when driving through Trinidad.

Driving through Colorado stumbled upon Tequilas Mexican restaurant. Great atmosphere, lovely decor, attentive staff, plenty of seating inside, and out. Menu is extensive along with their drink menu. Chips and salsa are great tasting to snack on while you wait for your food. I went ahead and ordered the macho burrito with a horchata. Horchata was on the sweet side but tasted great nonetheless. Macho burrito had skirt steak, beans, rice, Pico de Gallo, guacamole on top, smothered with green chili, and melted monterrey jack cheese. Great burrito portion for the price. Good tasting overall, well seasoned steak, flavorful melted gooey cheese, really enjoyed every bite. Servers check in on you constantly to make sure everything is going well. Would be back if I was around, would recommend!

This is one of the worst meals I’ve ever eaten at any restaurant. If you look at the pictures for $20, I expect more than 4oz of unseasoned chicken and 5 shrimp. The peppers and onions, along with the chicken and shrimp, tasted like it came out of a pot of lukewarm water. The chips and salsa were good. The side of rice and beans were good, but how do you mess up the main dish so badly you can’t even handle to eat it because of the watery taste. I don’t see myself recommending this place or coming back anytime soon. The many good reviews gave me such high hopes that it was a major letdown.

We really enjoyed our meals at Tequila’s Family Mexican Restaurant. I had the Enchiladas Trio. The meats were really delicious and the sauces had a spicy zest to them. We will definitely be back here next time we are in the area.

Brought a work group of 16 here for dinner. Called ahead to let them know how many and they made it happen. Great service. Great atmosphere. I loved how colorful the tables and chair were. Menu was good. Staff were great and the food came out quickly. Couldn’t ask for more. Would definitely bring my group back again!
