i visited this Mexican restaurant and decided to try their menudo. I have to say, it was a great experience! The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. The tripe was tender and well-prepared, and the hominy added a nice texture to the dish. What really stood out was how fresh all the ingredients tasted. You could tell they put a lot of care into making it.
The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. I’ve been to Tecalitlán several times, and every single visit has been a great experience. The service is always warm, attentive, and friendly, making you feel truly welcomed. The food is absolutely delicious, authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions that never disappoint.
What I love most is the consistency; every time I go, the quality of both the food and service is excellent. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a casual meal with family or celebrate a special occasion, and you’ll always leave satisfied.
Highly recommend Tecalitlan, definitely one of my favorite spots.

I visited on Sunday morning, and the food was absolutely outstanding my entire family loved it. I will definitely do my best to return. It was, without a doubt, the best Mexican food I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth of a family owned business. Our server, a very kind lady, along with her daughter, made the experience even more special. It was busy morning, the young girl immediately jumped into helping, which was impressive to see, especially when many others young girls might just be relaxing at home. After our meal, a customer came in who seemed a bit out of it, and the staff apologized, but I told them not to worry, it was actually entertaining, and we didn’t have to pay for the show! Overall, we absolutely loved this place!

Ordered birria tacos, steak tacos, and beef soup but got a spicy fish soup instead. Still delicious but couldn’t give any to my toddler. But the flavor of everything was top notch. I gave 5 stars just for that. If we were dining in, wouldn’t have mattered the mistake, but we ordered out so I didn’t catch it before getting home.

Food was not very good. Salsa was very spicy and at least a week old. I ordered a steak meal, the steak was completely burned and chewy. The meat was grossly over salted. The rice and beans were flavorless and the rice looked as if it had been over cooked by about 2 days. Service was polite but not very attentive and seemed annoyed. Place was clean and well lit. Overall not a great experience and the food will not have me running back.

I went today with my family like always, we sat down and the first thing the waitress told us is to not feed my 13 month old rice because it makes a mess. Rude person, not even a greeting just demanding what not to do. No atmosphere. No music. Slow service. Asada nasty, watered down sodas. Good luck to whoever eats there to feed your family.

The food and service was really good. I had the goat birria and it was very authentic. The waitress was always checking on us to see if we were good or needed anything. I did notice cobwebs and dust around the restaurant.
