This was my first time trying this restaurant, and unfortunately, I wasn’t satisfied. The macaroni had no flavor at all, and the fried shrimp were extremely salty to the point where I couldn’t eat them. The yams were very sweet, but overall, I felt like I basically paid $21 just for yams and unseasoned mac and cheese. I also tried the brownie, but it was made with dark chocolate, which I personally don’t enjoy—so if you’re not a fan of dark chocolate, beware. Really disappointed with this experience.

We came from NC very hungry and ran in right before closing. Our food was made to order and we were able to sit and eat. Everything was very delicious and tasty. The staffs were friendly and professional. ❤️❤️❤️

I decided to try A Touch of Flavor a restaurant. I ordered carry out fried fish platter with greens and mac and cheese ( I forgot to take a picture of the fish before I split it in half). The fish was well seasoned and tasted good. I did not like the greens-they were too spicy and alittle salty. The mac and cheese was so-so. The restaurant appeared clean. It is setup like a typical soul food carryout joint.

I won’t be back but I look forward to trying their sister restaurant Flavor Rich, which I heard good reviews about.

A Flavorful Hit from the Flavor Rich Family!

I’m so excited to share how blown away we were by Touch of Flavor, the newest culinary concept from the genius behind my longtime favorite, Flavor Rich. This new venture did not disappoint — it exceeded every expectation!

My husband had the gumbo, and let me tell you — it was rich, savory, and packed with perfectly cooked shrimp, crab, and Creole love in every bite. That mound of seasoned rice in the center soaked up all the goodness. He couldn’t stop raving about it!

I ordered the grilled chicken with Brussels sprouts and rice & gravy. Whew! That chicken was juicy and flavorful, the sprouts had the perfect caramelized char, and the gravy over the rice? Soul-hugging comfort on a plate.

From presentation to taste, everything was chef’s kiss! You can feel the passion and love in every bite, and it’s clear this concept was made to bless our taste buds.

Run, don’t walk — Touch of Flavor is a must-try if you love bold flavor, soulful cooking, and dishes crafted with intention. Bravo, Chef. You’ve done it again!

Here she goes again with another review. If you’re a fan of Flavor Rich, which is my favorite brunch spot in Gwinnett County, than you’ll love Touch of Flavor owned by the same people, I hear. Don’t expect eggs or waffles like at Flavor Rich though. Only lunch/dinner foods. Also, don’t expect to dine in with a server waiting on you. This is more of a to-go spot. All the food we tried met my expectations to the fullest and I’d highly recommend; however, bring your BP (Blood pressure) medicine. The more I ate, the more I realized the sodium HAS to be high on all of their food. After all, that’s why we love it so much right? All jokes aside though, despite the high sodium, it’s still deserving of 5 stars. Touch of Flavor is a clean environment, friendly staff and your food is served extremely hot and fresh to order. What more can you ask for?

We’ve given Touch of Flavor in Buford three chances, but unfortunately, today was our last visit. We ordered six different meals, and while the presentation is always really nice, every single dish was inedible due to extreme saltiness.

On our first visit, we mentioned the saltiness to the staff. Our second visit was better, with slightly different presentation (perhaps a different chef?), but today’s food was overwhelmingly salty again. Our order included chicken strips, grilled colossal shrimp, beef pot roast, fried fish, and various sides, but everything was too salty to eat. We ended up wasting most of it.

We’ve attached three photos—one showing a meal untouched and two of what was left after we tried to eat it. Despite bringing up the issue, no refund or discount was offered, just a reminder that all sales are final.

It’s disappointing because we really wanted to like this place, but after multiple chances and inconsistent food quality, we won’t be returning.

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The food was either extremely salty or overly sweet, which made it difficult to enjoy the meal. After eating, my stomach actually started to feel upset, which was concerning and not something I’ve experienced often when dining out.

The customer service also left a lot to be desired. The staff didn’t seem very attentive, and considering the quality of the food, the overall experience didn’t feel worth it.

Boy ain’t no way in hell I just spent $45 on 2 plates and they taste like this! Mac&Cheese noodles was hard with no flavor. Greens hot as hell. Not temperature hot but spicy hot. The yams taste like straight out the glory can. Then I asked the girl could I get no ice on my lemonades she told me because they low on product, she had to. Me & my husband have no problem spending money on good food but there is no way I will be back. I give it 2 stars!

I tried Touch of Flavor this past Saturday. I saw a review on TikTok and was in the area so I thought I’d check them out.

The food looks appetizing. The fish and shrimp were fried beautifully. However, just about every thing I had was over seasoned. I got the fish and shrimp plate with greens and candied yams. I also got a side of red beans and rice which was the only thing that wasn’t over seasoned. The fish, greens, and shrimp were extremely salty. The yams were too sweet. It was nauseating. I struggled to finish the plate.

Also, the food is overpriced and the value doesn’t match the quality. Swai is an inexpensive fish. You get one piece of fish on a $20 fish plate with two sides. To me, it just wasn’t worth it. I’ve gone to another local spot that serves excellent food and their fish plate is priced the same but the portions match the price and the quality and taste far exceeds what I purchased here.

My experience here is proof that a lot of people be lying on TikTok. I will not be back but I hope the owners read the reviews and take the constructive criticism to make improvements. The potential is there, but there is a definite issue with the seasoning of the food and the portion sizes compared to price.

This has to be my favorite take out location in the area! Super consistent every time
