This is our new favorite Asian food place! I can’t believe it took me so long to discover it! The Szechuan dumplings as an appetizer were EXTRAORDINARY! The Kung Pao Chicken is the best I’ve ever tasted (it’s the fresh ginger the makes it superior). The Orange beef totally rocked our world! I was told that the restaurant is family owned, and that everything is made from scratch there—even the noodles. A must to experience.

The waiter we had did the bare minimum and forgot part of our order. He wasn’t friendly and did the bare minimum. Other waiters and hosts were more welcoming.
The dumplings are all good. I think the pan friend ones have more flavor than the soup ones (xiao long bao). I would come back and try the steamed buns and get an entree dish.
It’s a nice atmosphere with traditional decor.

We went here for our first time. Food was mostly good.. my daughter had gotten a dish and was complaining that it tasted like a bottle of soy sauce and I brushed her off… thinking she was being dramatic. My husband and I tried it and it really did. I said something to our server about it. The manager not only took the dish off our bill but made us a new one to go. She went above and beyond for service. I would highly recommend. The house spicy fish was fantastic, chicken egg rolls were very flavorful and shrimp fried rice was good! We will be back again!

Was very good! We got the Chung King Spicy Chicken, the house spicy beef, and the xiao long bao. It exceeded our expectations. The xiao long bao was some of the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had din tai fung. The standout was the house spicy beef, which was absolutely amazing and almost tasted like hot pot with the umami flavors.

We got the cheese wonton, steamed pork buns, soup dumplings, General tsao chicken, house spicy pork, sweet and sour spare ribs, and the spicy chicken wings. Let me just say… Delicious. Absolutely bursting with flavor and color. Everything we had was moist, flavorful, and just overall great.

We’ve visited this place three times recently since we first discovered it, and we absolutely love the Serrano beef, Szechuan green beans, and Guo Bao pork! 🙂 The food is always delicious and leaves us craving it again after we get home.
However, during our third visit, the hot tea we ordered was quite bitter, which was a bit disappointing. We came around 11 a.m., and it tasted as if it had been steeped for too long or left from the previous day. I hope the teapots can be kept clean and that freshly brewed tea will be served next time

If I could give this place 10 ⭐️ stars I would. It was somewhat busy but they had a place for us in a comfortable booth with pillows . Waiter was kind and helpful and the FOOD …………… Omg I thought it was going to be overhyped but it was amazing everything was so good we left happy and full and the best part is it wasn’t expensive I’ve spend more at chilli’s. And they have their own parking lot which in mpls is not common . Going back probably tomorrow lol

Tea House on University Avenue delivered great Szechuan cuisine and service. The fish soup was rich, flavorful, and well spiced, while the beef with peppers featured tender meat and vibrant peppers in a balanced, savory sauce.
What truly stood out was the staff’s kindness. I lost my wedding ring right after walking in but didn’t notice until I’d left. When I called back, the team immediately searched the entrance, checked under tables, and the booth me and my wife sat at. After 40 minutes and returning to the store to help it seemed like it was lost. We then left again when all of a sudden we got a call back that it was found. They held it safely until I returned. Their genuine care turned a stressful moment into a memorable one.
Authentic food, cozy vibe, and heartfelt service

Great food , plenty of clearly labeled vegetarian options. In addition, our server mentioned that some dishes that are not vegetarian (according to the menu) like Mapo Tofu can also be made vegetarian on request. Service was prompt, food came out quickly and we polished our food! The chili oil/soy sauce that came with the dumplings was delicious! Everything else tasted great too!

Waited about 30 minutes for the food, and the sizzling beef was kind of disappointing, mostly sweet onions and barely any beef. Definitely not worth the $28. Portions are small, more like Asian-style servings, but the price is pretty high. Probably won’t come back. Not sure why the Google rating is so high honestly.
