I would’ve liked to see AND taste the lamb on my Gyros sandwich, as the amount of meat was too scarce to really be enjoyed. LAMB should be the STAR of the show…but really just got the 2Tbsp Of crumbled meat stuck on top of lettuce…not shaved in hearty layers as it is suppose to be.
Tasty pita bread flavor with fresh lettuce, tomato, onion & taziki sauce, you should TRY for QUANTITY as well as QUALITY with the LAMB…that kind of ruined it for me for my 1st time at Tazikkis,
Why would a place with good food not be packed on a Friday evening, with people waiting for a table? Let me get straight to the point: Here’s what I noticed.
Your service model is solid, but it’s mismatched with the location. Cherry Street is known for its dining spots where people can sit down, relax, and enjoy a cold drink. What you offer, though, feels more like a fast-food experience, where I have to stand in line and quickly choose from a limited menu. Cherry Street is mostly about table service—something people look for after a long week. The last thing we want is to wait in line to order. That might work during the week, but on the weekend, we just want to sit down, look at a menu, and have a drink while we wait.
The second fundamental issue is portion size. We paid $45 for two dishes and two drinks, but the portions didn’t quite match the price. Even if you need to be a bit generous with the side dishes, it’s worth it to make the customer feel they’re getting value for their money. For example, I don’t expect a bigger gyro, but adding more to the side dish could make all the difference. The red potatoes were delicious, but the portion was so small that it felt like we overpaid. How much would it really cost to increase that side a bit? Just a few cents, but it would greatly improve the perception of value.
As for the food itself, it was fantastic! We loved it. But the issues I noticed are more likely to hurt your business than they are to affect my personal dining experience. I could easily move on and never return, but I thought you might appreciate some feedback on how to improve. Only time will tell if those changes come to pass.
I got the Beef Gyro and the Child’s Feast on the menu.
Their grilled chicken kabobs comes with teo kebobs and side items. They have good quantity and is just ok flavorwise. But still once in a while, when you feel bored with other fast food restaurants in town, you can try this.
The spicy harissa chicken feast is pretty good. It is not that spicy but decent flavor. I would still prefer what CAVA has to offer when it comes to harissa chicken.
The Street Gyros are really flavorful and good.
We had a brunch today. I was so excited because my significant other picked this place as he loves Mediterranean food use to be good.
As you see it on the pictures both of us food wasn’t freshly cooked as we were expected instead it was reheated.
My grilled chicken was soggy and reheated.
The lamb chops were overcooked and dried out from reheating it along with the red roasted potatoes. The tzatziki sauce had no flavor it was bland, way too much cucumber there were no fresh dill in it,the flatbread was as hard as the chips.
Over all it was an unpleasant experiences since after consuming it as we were hungry and wasn’t paying attention on the quality of the meal we both got sick on our stomach.Less then 30 minutes later.
As a culinary professional,I would highly recommend this restaurant management to conduct Quality Control, on food before they serve it to the guest for consumption.
