Emily put together an exceptional birthday celebration for twelve of us. We had one in our party with gluten allergies but she made sure that everyone had plenty of delicious food to eat. My niece with gluten allergies said that this was the best meal she’s ever eaten!

What a gem! Tavolino is an exceptional blend of made from scratch dining and intimate atmosphere. Emily made us feel so welcome right off the bat. The cozy dining room is charming. I felt like I was sitting at her kitchen table as homemade Italian cuisine was brought out to my daughter and I course by course. Each dish was prepared with love and care. The cream cake….TO DIE FOR. This family centered small business just wowed me. We will absolutely be back when we visit our bobcat! Thank you, Tavolino for the special evening. June 17th, 2023. Visiting Athens for the weekend and was looking for an Italian restaurant. Query Google and find Tavolino with a number of good reviews. Supposed to open at 5 pm on a Saturday evening. Sat outside the restaurant for 20 minutes waiting to open, which never transpired. Called a number of times with no answer and no answering service. Might be time to update your webpage, unless by some anomaly you couldn’t open for business.

Absolutely Fabulous! We’ve never been to Athens before, just stopped to visit family over the weekend. We were looking for great food….we found it at Tavolino, exceptional real Italian. We try to visit Local restaurants whenever possible (99.999%) of the time. Quaint and intimate, reservations only(don’t let that sway you, make the call you won’t be disappointed). Now, the food….drum roll please very delicious, authentic home made pasta. Dinner tonight, Meatballs and pasta, I am not a pasta person…however if I had homemade every time like this I would be converted to eat pasta a lot…the flavor was noticeable better then any I’ve had before… Funny, she has a t-shirt, “biggest balls in Athens, Ohio”, very true…meatballs were huge the marinara sauce perfect. Desert, death by cannoli’s and vegan lemon cake with blackberry reduction both were yummy, for me though the Vegan Lemon was sensational! Atmosphere, small and intimate….perfect, Tavolino is not loud. The owner and staff are lovely and personable people, I feel privileged to have met them. Give them a try.

Randomly found this little quirky gem of a restaurant. Wow did we get lucky!! Ambiance is family like – warm, welcoming, attentive, and kind. The food – OH THE FOOD – is truly amazing! Truly homemade, old world, delicious, and obvious love put into every dish. My husband and I were beyond delighted and we both ate entirely TOO much!! The entire pre dice meal was a true treat and we will most definitely be back. Call ahead as it’s reservations only. Well worth your time and palette.
