Old establishment under new management with the chef who used to operate Dish in Red Bank. Haven’t been for much of the dinner food, but I’ve only heard good things to this point. Went for the bar food, football, and beer. They have a large space with plenty of TVs for watching sports with a group. Wings and other bar food was great. Will be back for more when I’m in the area.

Our initial dive into any “tavern” menu is always a burger, and we were not disappointed! The fries were delicious to boot! We added a chopped salad from the discounted social hour menu and left full and satisfied. Both the lunch and dinner menu seem to include plenty of American-fare, pub style options plus fuller, more complex dishes. Service was prompt and cheerful despite the after work rush crowd. Seems lots of regulars and locals frequent the bar (which has space for about 15 stools) then other patrons stand at a few high tops. Lots of regular dining tables as well. There is outdoor seating for the warmer months which we look forward to returning to enjoying. The exterior of the restaurant leaves a bit to be desired, but that is easily forgotten once inside.

Play golf here 2x a week- love the course. Decided to try the restaurant (Tavern 19). Arguably the worst decision I’ve ever made. Wait staff is near non existent, and the food should be famous for how bad it is. Calamari is just fried dough, and the burger is a frozen hockey puck that tasted like it was cooked on the exhaust of a diesel truck. I’ve had better experiences eating at gas stations off of I-95. The dead give away should’ve been the hoard of golfers just drinking, guess you can’t mess up a Coor’s light too badly. But seriously, don’t go here.

I just got a lobster roll from this place for lunch today and it was by far the worst lobster roll I’ve ever had. The roll was stale and only cut 1/2 way long wise so no lobster on 1/2 the sandwich. The lobster that was on the sandwich was over cooked and tough and only claw and leg meat, also the roll wasn’t toasted and no butter on it at all. The chips that came with it might have been good last week, they were all stuck together and stale.

Tavern 19 always awesome….it’s been a few months since we last were here. menu updated…love our favorite bartender John…new chef Red on board has really made things seem normal…we had 4 cosmo from John and Red. …went over the top with calamari and bang bang shrimp….we had a few more item …they were awesome….keep up the good work Red…

I miss going out to a bar and being able to talk with people so much. This place was warm and welcoming with great suggestions on food. Got the Italian gumbo and it was delicious. The staff are very friendly and attentive and made sure that we had a good time. I don’t know availability to eat there as just walk ins as it is on a golf course. One might want to call beforehand to check. Also multiple large tvs to watch the games on.

So was in the area and decide to stop and get something to eat with my daughter last Sunday. When we walked in we were greeted rite away told to sit where ever we liked, then waited about 10 to 15 minutes before the server even came to us didn’t get her name do to the fact she didn’t give it all I can say she was young and skinny and gave the impression she didn’t want to be there she was very antisocial. We ordered nachos to start took almost 30 minutes to come out. There was another girl there she was wearing a pink shirt all I can say is thank God for her she was very helpful and you could see she took pride in her job I even had to ask her if she was are server she even told me know and ask who started serving you. Long story short she was great wanted to tip her out but couldn’t get her attention and we had to leave. Normally I would always leave atleast 20 percent or more but the service was so bad I didn’t feel the other girl deserved it so I only left 15 percent this was at lunch. I will say the food was acually pretty good though. Only problem good food doesn’t make up for bad service.

I have to say I was extremely express with Tavern 19. I loved the food and the people here. This is definitely a great place to have a good meal and great drinks. If you go on a Sunday or Monday make sure you say hi to Tom who is the bartender and extremely friendly and makes you feel welcome as well as the patrons. I will definitely be back as I will make this place my hangout for the weekends. I love this place, people and the food. I highly recommend this place you will not regret going here and having a great meal.
