Great addition to Glen Rock! Employees are very chipper and helpful. A very fun and playful environment! Waited a while for my food… but it was quite busy when I went so what can you do about it? I loved seeing the dumplings made fresh it’s nice to know that they are made and not store bought and you can definitely tell the difference in the flavor. It could be a bit cleaner but as they just opened up i’m not one to judge as they seemed a little understaffed. Great place though definitely coming back!

We were excited to try the new dumpling house in town, but I’m sad to say it was a disappointment. Inside the the restaurant, you walk into a machine to order food from and it’s unclear what most of the items are as there are no pictures or clear descriptions. There’s no one by the machine to greet you or explain anything, even though the restaurant is newly opened and most customers wouldn’t be very familiar with everything on the menu. To talk to someone, you need to walk toward the back of the restaurant where, on the day we arrived, the employees didn’t seem too friendly or interested to explain anything on the menu. We waited at the hot restaurant (with no ac in 90 degree weather) for 3 dishes, sitting at a dirty picnic table for 25 minutes and none of the employees offered to talk to us or to tell us the status of our order. We were hoping the food would make up for it, but it was sadly mediocre. The wontons didn’t have much flavor, and the fried buns were very dry inside. The ribs tasted ok, but the sauce was overwhelmingly sweet and the order was mostly bones and no meat. Hopefully everything here gets better, but we don’t plan to return anytime soon.

I am very disappointed, I have been wanting to order from this place for a while and when I did I get raw meat in the dumplings.

I was so excited to see they have soup dumplings. Very few places in this area have them. I ordered for takeout; when I opened the container when I got home I see shriveled up dumplings. There’s no broth in these at all. The dumplings themselves had a good flavor but I’m just disappointed it wasn’t soup dumplings at all.

Summary: A little hole in the wall soup dumpling and regular dumpling place. Don’t think that you’ll be full from one or two orders. Portions are small and really more of appetizer sizes. I was disappointed with the soup dumplings as they didn’t have much soup in them. Also the wonton soup is good but not worth the price. During covid times, the restaurant practiced safety precautions where staff wore masks, plexi glass barriers were present, and hand sanitizer was provided.

Just finished a fabulous meal from Elyssia Kitchen. My family and I had a craving for dumplings tonight decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint, but the steam dumplings and the potstickers were delicious. The kimchi pork potstickers and the Korean beef bao were my favorites, while my daughter and husband liked the steamed chicken & corn dumplings & the bulgogi best. The dessert dumplings were ridiculous- in a good way! Delish all around!

We love Elyssia’s. We order from them all the time and it’s always delicious. Great soup dumplings—which we can’t find anywhere else—and delicious bulgogi boa buns/dumplings and kimchi pork.

The food is still good, which kept this at a one star review, rather than a zero star. However the service has dropped off significantly. It is no longer the restaurant I remember. The order I placed via phone was not what was received. The individual answering the phone didn’t take my name which led to confusion upon arrival. A ginger scallion fried rice with NO egg for my vegan eater turned into a pork fried rice WITH egg. They were also unable to add tofu to a fried rice order (after receiving a positive confirmation on the phone) which is a very simple ask and always accepted at other establishments. My vegan eater now has to order from another place tonight.

Midway through a pork dumpling, I noticed something hard and thought “probably a bit of bone.” It was plastic. Thick plastic. Larger than a nickel and jagged. I can understand one-off mistakes, but I went back to read other reviews online and saw others complaining about finding a “plastic cap” in a dumpling, so this is a sanitation and health issue. Cannot recommend. So glad I was the one who got the dagger dumpling instead of one of my kids.
