We went this Saturday, I wasn’t too pleased with the spot… I don’t mind spending money on quality food but tasteless food, disorganization and bad service is a no for me. When we ordered we ordered Mac n cheese for a side and instead of not letting us know there wasn’t any Mac n Cheese… they let us pay, get our food, head home and there wasn’t any Mac n Cheese. When we went back they said they were out of Mac; why wouldn’t you say that from the beginning? Highly unprofessional. The wait was more than 40 minutes. And honestly for the prices they slim you on food, the Greens seemed to be canned, and they falsified the Sweet Potato Cheesecake because it was Cheesecake with no Sweet Potato. They made it seem like it was homemade but it was store bought. The Shrimp Rolls weren’t Shrimp but they were filled with Greens and no Shrimp or lack thereof. They could really use a boost to their menu. We ordered enough on the menu because we love supporting new restaurants and black owned. I was very excited. But sadly disappointed. You can only pay cash which is odd because they have an ATM and a sign that has credit card accepted. You can’t order over the phone.

Wait time was a hour and a half, if buisness is that overwhelming may i suggest a larger staff. The staff that was on were very polite.Overall look of the place is perfect very clean. My issue was the taste and serving amounts. I ordered a shrimp boat it came with 6 pieces of shrimp and about 15 french fries in a clearly oversized container for what was served. I also ordered the veggie platter with the special sauce. The carrots were undercooked for how the rest of the veggies were served soft and the taste was flavorless. I was expecting alot more flavor and over all satisfaction for the wait and recommendation

Love to support a black owned business . Went for the first time just to support. Got the seafood rolls Which looked good. But it definitely not seafood roll because di didn’t see one shrimp, scallop, crab meat in it. It was more of a collar greens snd seems like cod fish roll…… it wasn’t bad but def not seafood roll. I also ordered just wings that were fried perfectly but was very tasteless. I like my fry chicken/chicken wings flavorful… i won’t let this be my last time supporting I’ll try something else but this order this time wasn’t for me..

If i could give no stars i would. I ordered there today and the food was cold after waiting for an hour!!! Mac n cheese was old, fish, shrimp and crab cake were breaded wayyy to much, the fries were cold and to top it off, we received two slices of cheesecake that had MOLD all over it. And i have pictures! NEVER AGAIN!!

Line is too long. Management blames slow service on large orders coming from other businesses in the area. The food has the potential to taste better, but the restaurant serves it in styrofoam containers. Everyone knows serving hot fried food in a styrofoam container without an aluminum foil or wax paper lining turns your food soggy, and who puts grits in a styrofoam container??? Taste & Sea needs to better, their customers deserve better.

I had to wait over an hour for my food…The food was horrible, I had fried fish and french fries, how you mess that up.the batter on the fish was more for fried chicken. It wasn’t fresh fish it was frozen fish. I also ordered strawberry cornbread..it was store brought cornbread and they put strawberry sauce on it.. I won’t be going there again.

I will NEVER use or recommend ‘Taste N Sea NJ’ n to anyone again! We used them to cater the repass for my brother’s funeral and they RAN OUT OF FOOD! How embarrassing! And this was done on the day we laid my brother to rest!! Later that evening I called “ALEX” the owner, to express my displeasure and asked for a partial refund. His reply to me as a business owner was “NO AND THIS CONVERSATION IS OVER” and then he hung up the phone! I was shocked! I was done!
