I’m visiting here from atlanta for work and have been here for about a week was looking for places to eat and I have came across this restaurant and all I can tell you is you have to come and order food here. I have order jerk chicken with rice, peas and plantains. It was amazing. I recommend you coming here if you are in town. The prices are not bad compare to others over been too. If i knew about this place, I would be here earlier but sadly, i’m going back home. This place is way better than most places ove been too. Next time, I’ll order me the oxtail, my favorite dish.

When I wanted something different than fast food or country cooking, I decided to stop by and try Taste of Jamaica main meals. I ordered curry chicken, rice & peas & plantains. It was good. Bought large size so it lasted 2 days for me. On a previous stop, I tried their homemade beef patty. It was good that I had to go in & buy two more. Affordable easy to eat snack. I would go there again.

Randomly found this Jamaican restaurant and I’m happy I did. I had oxtail with rice and peas and it was amazing. The food reminded me of the Jamaican restaurants in New York. It’s very difficult to find good tasting Jamaican food that isn’t laden with salt. The food isn’t too spicy and it’s very flavorful. I live Jacksonville and I’ll be traveling to Starke Fl whenever I need good food.

We had the jerk chicken, beef stew and Ox tail with rice & peas and cabbage. It was all delicious! The ox tail was so tender that it peeled right off the bone. My father has never had Jamaican food before and gushed over his beef stew. My husband said the jerk chicken was very juicy and tender as well. We will absolutely be returning ❤

Wonderful food. Delicious and freshly made dishes. Caribbean feel. Very friendly, neighborhood atmosphere. Chicken curry meat pies (like an empanada), and/or Chicken Curry Roti (chicken curry stew with something similar to chapati) are amazing. We usually go for take out. There is plenty of seating while you wait, and at least one table. Try the Jamaican sodas!

Jerk chicken is not smoked, but if you can get over that, it is good. Patties are homemade. The patty crust is more like roti dough. This is a good thing as the fillings are better than average. The food is not going to have you dreaming of Kingston, but it will scratch an itch.
