This quite little hidden gem is a must try if you’re in Port Charlotte! Sandra, the owner, is also the chef. Her daily homemade soups are amazing! I loved the fresh garlic on the escargot as well! They have an incredible wine list that you have to see for yourself! I’ll definitely be returning for lunch again and bringing more friends to this wonderful place. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is charming!♡

My husband and I had a fantastic dinner here for our date night! The atmosphere is so clean, cozy, comfortable and quaint. Our server was also the owner, Michael. He was so kind, attentive, funny and accommodating. We felt right at home. For our meals we chose the Schnitzel dinner and the Bratwurst dinner. Both were authentic and oh so good!! Of course I had to start with a Dunkel beer straight from the tap. Doesn’t get much better! We can’t wait to go back! If you haven’t tried this wonderful restaurant yet, do yourself a favor and stop in!

If you want real authentic German food, then this is the place. Second time here. Today, I had rouladen. My first time I had sauerbraten. Being raised by a German mom, and frequently having these meals at home, these were exceptional and reminded me of my Mom’s comfort meals.

I didn’t eat there but two different people I know saud that the owner refused to honor a gift certificate from their restaurant. He told one couple that the certificate was over a year old. Well in Florida it’s a law that a gift certificate does not have an expiration date. So basically this place is scamming people out of their money. I don’t care how good the food is I’ll NEVER eat there…..thief.

The place smelled amazing the moment I walked in. The aroma was mouth watering. I had the bread appetizer and the cream spread, and that spread was so delicious. I even dipped my fries in it! I ate the Schnitzel Club Sandwich, which was fantastic. The fries were crispy and salty and hot! The food was prepared wonderfully and tasted fantastic. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The menu price is modest and well worth it. I highly recommend the Apple Strudel for dessert. If you don’t have room, MAKE ROOM! It was so, so good. Hot apples and ice cream. What a combo. I will definitely be back to visit again.

We stopped here for the first time for lunch. Smaller seating area but there was an open table. I tried a smoke beer from Germany. Interesting taste but 1 and done! I had the Bratwurst dinner platter with Sauerkraut and German potatoes. It was excellent. I don’t recall having Sauerkraut with a little brown sugar in it before and I liked it. Ruby had a Warsteiner Dunkle which we have at home and is the only beer she likes. She got the pierogies which were a plateful. We both had a nice salad to start with. Even though they have some tempting desserts, we were too full to participate in any. Janet was the only server and very efficient. I’m sure that we will be back!

We went for an early Birthday dinner , was not disappointed at all . The food was great big portions and made fresh to order , we enjoyed all the choices and brought the rest home . The owners were fabulous great people to chat with from Germany which I enjoyed as hearing the language I heard as a child . Will definitely go back again .

Food was good but I won’t go back. They charge me $3.59 each for two plastic bottles of water. After $50.00 plus tip, I didn’t appreciate it. They should tell you there was a charge for water. I would have got a drink instead.

I went for the Wednesday dinner special, Rouladen and it was awesome! I grew up eating this as my grandmother was German and made this dinner often so I’m comfortable sharing my opinion . I’m looking forward to going back this weekend for Oktoberfest specials! Proist!
