We’re new to the area and decided to get our first local seafood take out from Taste of Boston. The food was great and easy to order online. When I went in to pickup the women that got my order for me were extremely personable and friendly, always goes a long way! One of us ordered the lobster roll which had the meat in a separate dish so we could assemble it at home and keep the roll from getting soggy, a great idea. We’ll be back for sure!

We were looking for a restaurant where we could come by boat. Taste of Boston was great. There is a public dock right next to the restaurant. The service was great, including bringing water for our dog. The view was great. The food was really good and prices were reasonable. My husband had fish and chips and really enjoyed it. I had a cheeseburger. I’m very picky about my burgers and this one was great. The ice cream was some of the best I’ve had. We will definitely be back!

Been on the hunt for some authentic New England seafood and this place is the spot! My fiancé and I are from Boston, so finding this place was a blessing because generally the seafood in Tampa isn’t great. However, Taste of Boston is THAT SPOT! The food is phenomenal, it’s fresh, and the service is impeccable. The location is perfect and made us feel like we were back home for a little bit. Our waitress took good care of us. She even apologized for it being so busy (please don’t apologize, you were amazing) and still did everything to make our experience A+. We are so excited to come back and we will be telling all of our friends to come try this place. 10/10!!!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Tampa area, and even though we haven’t been here in a while it was worth the wait. It’s under new ownership since our last visit and things haven’t missed a beat and it appears to be much better “Thanxs Deborah”. The customer service was spot on today “Thanxs Som” and better than the past ownership. As usual the food was very tasty and nice and hot upon delivery to our table. The presentation of the food was something very different but appreciated. It shows they care about their customers and their business. We noticed some moderate changes which makes this spot more cozy and welcoming. If you live in Tampa or either visiting, then I would make this trip here. We drive about 40 miles to enjoy this wonderful place and well worth it.

Pretty good seafood. Everything fried seemed heavy on the salt including the fried pickles. Great views, nice outdoor eating area. Server was very attentive and two other employees checked up on me as well.

This was cool new place to try a lobster roll. It is located at Ballast Point park in south Tampa, right on the water. When eating outside (there are plenty of seats) you get some really great views and all tables are covered. We started with the clam chowder, which was perfect. It was the perfect consistency and there were plenty of clams in each bite. You could tell it was made there. Next we tried the onion rings. They were fried and crispy to perfection and went well with the honey mustard. For our main course we had cold lobster rolls with sweet potato fries. The roll was spot on and was the perfect serving…not too big and not too small. We ended our meal with a scoop of the lemonade ice. It was almost like a gelato and was a perfect way to end a meal. Overall we enjoyed our meal, the service was perfect and our experience was fantastic.

Such a cute little place. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. We ended there on father’s day and I expected it to be busy or to receive mediocre service because it’s a big day for restaurants, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Everything was so tasty and they our waitress made the 2 men at the table feel father’s day special. Would definitely recommend and cannot wait to go back to have another lobster roll.

We tried the Taste of Boston last weekend because we had just learned about it. We have lived in Florida for over a decade but we came from Maine. We ate lobstah a ton up there and it was fresh and cheap. So, we are big critics when it comes to lobster anywhere outside of New England. I tried the cold lobster roll and it was delicious and fresh. I was not ecstatic about the size vs. price though. My husband decided to try the grouper sandwich and he loved it. I tried some too and it was yummy. The fries were great too. The service was not the greatest and I wish we could have eaten inside instead of outside. At least the weather was good and the birds kept us company, lol. We definitely will come back, and try other menu items. We just hope the service is better…especially when paying that premium.

The BEST Lobster Roll (either warm or cold) in Tampa Bay! No filling, just solid lobster! Coconut shrimp are terrific and the Hush Puppies are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Even the Cole Slaw is a “step above”! Nothing tastes of grease. Free, (but very limited) dedicated parking at the door. Eat inside or outside and enjoy the view of Ballast Park Pier, Bayshore Blvd. and downtown Tampa. Very casual.
