I have to admit, I was very intimidated by the looks of the restaurant. I know that I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, BUT you should always go with your gut instinct. we pulled into a parking spot, and right as we got out, a guy came out and gave us menus. We couldn’t go inside, and he asked us to call in and the food will come out. we did as asked, and we waited over and hour to get our food. My Pork sandwich was good, but I don’t think ill get it again. The cornbread was excellent and so was the mac and cheese. The price was reasonable. I do recommend trying it.

Amazing food. The BBQ was on point, and the portion was very generous. Loved everything I tried, BBQ pulled pork, potato salad, and the greens were off the hook. Can’t wait to go back.

Best food ever!!!! I eat here every week, I always get the buffalo mac, the buffalo fries and an oreo waffle. CONSISTENTLY GOOD!!! So delicious. Only thing is the wait, they say they will be done in 10 minutes but really they mean 30… Like another comment said, just be honest. I’d prefer y’all being honest about the time it’ll be done rather than lying. Honesty will not cost you money, especially for the people who really love your food, they will wait.

This was not my first time eating there but it is definitely my last. The first time it was amazing, but this time, not so amazing. I ordered2 wing platters, a fish sandwich and a lemonade. I didn’t look at the price until I was on the way home.. $52.00! When I called about the price, I was informed that the prices had changes from what was on the menu. When asked why nobody said that when the order was placed, the person on the phone said he had just got there, but he was the one who brought the food to my car. He proceeded to ask me was that all as if I was bothering him. When I got home, the food was not that tasty. The fish was salty and the cornbread was raw. I also had to put the chicken in the air fryer for a few minutes in order to eat it. My suggestion to them is to work on customer service and hire help so the food is not rushed.

I just ordered my food today because I’m at work starving and on a double. I asked for my wing dings to be fried hard and they weren’t to my liking. That Mac and cheese was horrible which when I walked in the lady was mixing some with her hands. She did have in gloves but that alone made me want to say nevermind. The yams were ok and the greens were not to my liking either. I will say they forgot to give me my cornbread and did drop two pieces of to me at work. I haven’t tasted the peach cobbler yet but I hope it’s good. I also got a watermelon lemonade and that was good. I should have stick with my first instinct and got a fish sandwich. I had that from them about 4-5 months ago and it was good. I wanted to try something different from them and it was not good at all! I try to support my people but I hate wasting my hard earned money! This will most likely be it for me. Hopefully others have a better experience. They may also need to clean it up a little more in there cause appearance means a lot too.

DON’T judge this book by it cover… Heard good thing and decided to stop by. Let’s just say what we heard isn’t even close. This is a hands down, must stop for AMAZING soul food. From the sauce to every side pictured not to mention the corn bread. NO other place in all of Cumberland County (I’d venture to guess South Jeresy)is throwing down at this level. I ordered Whiting Fish, yams, and greens. Fish had a burnt taste due to old grease, yams was horrible and more like mashed potato yams, taste was so bad I couldn’t even eat them. Collards greens were bland. I will never go back there. The guy with the braids or dreads was not to friendly he act like he had an attitude. I definitely wasted my money.

The food is great and all, but the wait/time management is like, come ON! When I call to order and am told the order would be done in “45 minutes” then call back 1 hour later to find out if it’s ready and am told, “Yes! You’re all set!” then drive 10 minutes to get there (believing it’s just a quick pick-up) bur have to wait another 25 minutes (when I could have been handling other business, meanwhile) — is unacceptable. Yall—please do better and be honest with timing; trust me, honesty will not cost you money.
