I’ve been here twice now, and it’s such a wonderful and cozy place. The staff is super nice, the food is a great price for how much you get, and it’s delicious!
Both times I ordered enough so I could have leftovers for a couple days after, and it’s still amazing. Everything is so well-made!
The server I had the second time was such a sweetheart too. She noticed I hadn’t touched my miso soup and asked if I didn’t like it and was very caring. I told her I just like to eat everything together, haha! When she heard that she even asked if I wanted a fresh bowl so it was warmer. I kept mine because I didn’t mind, but the care and attention was so sweet.
Definitely will be back on my next vacation!

We joined family for a Saturday evening dinner. It was our first time here but we would visit again when in town. I had the steak hibachi, which came with a good soup and salad. My wife had a couple of their sushi rolls. We shared between ourselves and our other family members. Everything was very good. If you like Japanese or Chinese, stop by and give it a shot.

We dined in after being told this place had great sushi. The only downside was it was very crowded and it’s a very small space so seating room is pretty cramped. Food-wise everything was fantastic. We had multiple kinds of sushi, soups, salad, a teriyaki bento box, and steak hibachi. The steak and chicken were both so tender and juicy. All of the sushi was great. Even though they were very busy, the staff was attentive and very friendly. We will definitely be back!

My absolute favorite restaurant in Greensburg. The food is amazing everytime I have been. All the options on the menu are fantastic and have great portions. The sushi especially is amazing. I recommend the sweet potato roll or any of the bento boxes! The food has never disappointed me! Occasionally the service has been a slow, but otherwise good. The staff are friendly and for the size of the staff do a great job for how busy the restaurant can be! Overall I highly recommend eating here if you are in Greensburg! The only restaurant in town I have ate at 2 times in one day multiple times!

The atmosphere was really chill for a little hole in the wall Hibachi place. The food was absolutely top notch though.
I got the steak and shrimp hibachi. My gf got shrimp fried rice and deep fried cheesecake for dessert. All together it’s definitely 4.5 stars. My buddy told me to try sushi next time.

My recent visit to Tarouya left me with mixed feelings. While I used to enjoy this place, some aspects of my dining experience fell short of expectations.
Starting with the disappointments, the shumai tasted lackluster, as if it had been heated from a frozen package, diminishing the once delightful flavor. Additionally, my rare New York strip steak hibachi turned out overcooked and surprisingly tough, resembling more of a chuck steak than the quality cut I anticipated.
However, not all was lost. The saving grace was the sushi rolls. They managed to uphold the standard I had come to expect from Tarouya. Fresh, flavorful, and well-crafted, the sushi rolls showcased the restaurant’s competence in this area.
Despite the setbacks in certain dishes, the sushi rolls remind me that there’s potential for Tarouya to regain its former glory. I hope they address the inconsistencies to ensure a consistently positive dining experience for all patrons.
It’s worth mentioning that the service at Tarouya remained a highlight. The staff exhibited genuine friendliness and warmth, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The good-natured and accommodating service from the folks at Tarouya added a positive touch to the overall dining experience, making the visit more memorable despite the culinary hiccups.
