I hate writing bad reviews. I tried to give benefit of the doubt to the restaurant for any reason but I really couldn’t find any.

I did this to myself. Himalayan food in Brentwood. That sentence should say it all. I think this restaurant is actually perfect for the locals to this area lol, but not for the rest of us. I ordered 2 dishes and naan. And a mango drink. You wouldnt be surprised if I said the dishes also had no bite, no heat! I guess it’s not really their fault. Billed basically 60 bucks. The dishes are also pretty tiny too. That’s Brentwood for ya.

The owner and staff here are super nice. The decor is really nice and relaxing. A very Buddhist vibe. The portions are a little small and the prices a little high but that is to be expected for this Brentwood area. We particularly enjoyed the Chow Chow noodles and the different Nan breads.

We came here based off reviews and everyone is right it is phenomenal. I haven’t eaten this good in awhile and I didn’t want to stop.. We ordered the buttered chicken which was so smooth and creamy, and we dipped garlic Naan into it which will take you over the moooon. We also got the momos (chicken and veggie) which were insanely good i can’t believe the quality tbh. We also ordered rice (i can’t remember the name but check photos)and the chicken chow mein which were of course absolutely exquisite.

Extremely unfriendly and slow service. We placed an order for a few things and they brought each thing separately. We had to wait close to 15 mins for each item to arrive to the table. They give preference to new customers and ignore the ones seated. Short staffed. In short it was a terrible experience.

Best Indian style food in Los Angeles. 6 picky eaters all found something they absolutely love. Try the strawberry yogurt drink made in house. Naan is the best I have ever had. Paneer is the chiefs kiss!!!!

Himalayan restaurant across from the Brentwood Country Mart. Came here for an early dinner on a Sunday around 5:30pm and there were a couple other tables already seated. They were a bit slow to seat us, but they let us sit wherever we wanted. The menu is straightforward and they have a good array of vegetarian and vegan dishes. They brought out a complimentary appetizer with a mashed sweet potato sauce to accompany papadum (crispy thin flatbread). Naan is extra (only four pieces that amounted to one whole naan piece for about $4). It’s family style, and came with two big servings of basmati rice. The jackfruit curry was the best dish in our opinion, as it was smoky and the jackfruit was cooked well. The goat curry was bone-in and had similarly smoky flavor. The chicken tikka masala and butter chicken were interchangeable, although the butter chicken was really sweet. There’s a gender neutral bathroom in the back, no free WiFi, street parking (no lot), and they do take credit cards. At the time of writing, they don’t have alcohol but are working on getting their liquor license. They were cool enough to bring in our own alcohol, so you can pop across the street to the liquor store (although it’ll be like $8 for an IPA). The waitress and who I think is the owner were very nice. It got busier towards 7pm but there were still seats available. They do delivery as well.
