First time here came to check it out. It was kind of slow in the morning young lady waitress gave me a sample of the Menudo, which was pretty good and spicy. Unfortunately, when I got the order of the special of small Menudo with Barbacoa taco for $9.99 Barbacoa was a little shredded type meat and a little greasy for my liking it was a little more salty. Super fast! Great Mexican food! We had the special, and it didn’t disappoint for a quick lunch stop! Service was on-the-spot, even though the restaurant was full of lunchtime guests. There is plenty of parking on the street if the lot is full or you drive a real truck. Recommend!

Decided to try this restaurant after plan A fell through. I’m glad we decided to try this place. Taqueria Mi Chapala Jalisco has chips and salsa with complimentary queso, they do put chopped jalapenos in which makes it a little spicy. The salsa has a bigger impact with the heat . The inside dining room looks just like it did when another restaurant occupied the space. Both hubby and I ordered the cheese enchilada plate . The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and very hot , temperature wise. The rice was very tasty, the beans were flavorful the enchiladas were delicious. Hubby likes hot hot sauce and was very impressed with the heat. We will definitely be eating here again.

This food was good before but now it went to 1 it does not taste good no more the tacos or cold and hard potato in egg. The potatoes was hard and the surprise was over priced. Don’t mind paying if the food is good, but it’s not no good food no more.

Off post, close to Fort Sam Houston’s New Braunfels Gate. Wow. Inexpensive prices, great food, and awesome complimentary queso, salsa (a little extra spicy but so good!), and chips. Friendly service too. Highly recommended!

Visited this restaurant on a whim as it was late one night. Convenient location to Fort Sam and the staff was very nice and attentive. Food was good and portions were large. Only reason it’s a 4 star is they were playing some very loud music in the kitchen (probably for clean up tasks) which was a bit annoying while trying to eat. Would visit again for sure!
