The food was great but the service was subpar. I had to ask for more chips, drink refills, the check. They weren’t very attentive and didn’t seem to check in on us often. The food was pretty good though. Almost made up for the service.

I was not that impressed when I came. They only have sodas and aqua frescas to drink, no beer, no teas. I ordered the pollo caldo, an asada tlayuda and a pork tamale. The portion sizes are very large (but so are the prices). I ate about half of the tlayuda (but because it contains tomato and lettuce there is no real way to reheat it). The tlayuda was the best thing. The pork tamale was also a big portion and pretty good. The caldo was bland and needed a lot of seasoning. Salsa and chips were not that remarkable. Lots of paper, plastic knives/forks and styrofoam on the table.

First time coming here and it was ok. Decided to bring our family from out of town here since the reviews seem good but it was alright. Food didn’t wow us and they werent impressed either. The carne asada was good but the rest was bland. It’s not horrible either but the food isn’t giving us a reason to eat here again.

Went on a sunday. Everyone and their Tía Tío and Abuelo was in there. Fast service. ! My husband had enchiladas I have a tamales they were really moist and flavorful. I bought my kiddos home a burrito they said it didn’t taste like the ones were used to in Cali but still good. I took some Menudo go it was so good and savory! Just spicy enough. Would go back

We finally took the time to dine in here and enjoyed our selections. There are several dishes we want to try (including some of the soups which they did not have this day), so we hope to return soon. We opted for the Tlayuda Tortilla (Pork instead of Chicken) and it was just as huge as our server told us it would be, along with the Flautas Chicken. Did not care for all the cheese as much as I hoped to, but the dish was otherwise tasty. Extra large drinks came with the meals, and our server was gracious in allowing us time to comb through the menu with it being our first time there. Parking was plentiful and convenient. It was just rather cold inside there but we travel prepared for such instances. Good meal overall.

I have been coming here for 12 years and it continues to be the best Mexican food on the southside! When a restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol and is still busy, you know it’s good! Make sure to find the salsa bar to the left of the register that is included with your meal but won’t be mentioned. You can help yourself and feel like a regular.
