I’m not sure why the rating is so low for this place. We went on NYE around 7:20 PM and this place saved us. We had a reservation at Lazy Dog and they didn’t even have a table for us at our reservation time. Luckily, Taqueria Invicto was open and and plenty of empty tables. We ordered our food at the two kiosks and our food came shortly after. This isn’t the most authentic Mexican food but it did suffice. I ordered the 3 taco combo with refried beans and elotes and a pineapple drink. The meats were decent, nothing was tough or chewy. I added some sauce from the station to enhance the flavors. The elotes has a bit of heat to them but not bad. I liked how they used real pineapple in the drink. Service was very friendly. I’ll give them a 5 star rating because we were able to receive our food, finish, and had plenty of time before our next activity.

Was skeptical at first and boy oh boy was I in for a surprise. To start, from the moment you walk in it gives you a nostalgic atmosphere- if you’ve ever been to Mexico you know what I’m talking about. Was greeted by super friendly staff and they have an open kitchen set up which I loved. Food was authentic and savoury. They have hand made tortillas which is a bonus and a self serve toppings bar! Run don’t walk!

Very delicious tacos. 3 tacos, 2 side dishes and chips for $15.99. The rice and elotes are very good. The salsa and hot sauces are fresh. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend this place. Honest good food.

The best tacos ever and the queso is amazing I put it on top of my taco my order : al pastor pork taco, Comes with grilled pineapple, guacamole sauce onions y cilantro. Then of course the queso and chips!

Amazing food and atmosphere! The burritos were flavorful and a good size. The rice and beans had a unique taste and were delicious. They have an expansive salsa bar, which is self serve. The chipotle crema was soo good, I can’t wait to go back for these items.
They have many $3 alcoholic beverage items, we got margaritas. For $3, they were great.
The ordering process is by kiosk only so there was a bit of a wait as people searched the menu. One person ended up leaving while we waited so that’s not ideal for business. Once we got to the kiosk, it was very straightforward. There are a lot of meat upcharges that were not outlined on the menu board.
We had a great time here and we definitely plan to be back!

First visit very good experience everything was good end delicious with chicken meat but second visit not good . Stake was terrible inedible they suppose to select their meat better

I had the Tijuana burrito and the mango margarita. The burrito was missing flavor, but the margarita was good for $3. Also they offer a variety of salsa but they are not spicy.

Authentic Mexican Cuisine with an outstanding variety of truly delicious dishes. Order at the Counter. Get your salsas together and prepare to enjoy a fresh and flavorful meal. I highly recommend the Cali Burrito with the fries inside. I spent 4 months in So. California and never had a Cali Burrito like this! One of the best burritos I’ve ever had in my whole life. 100/100 rating for me.

First time here! Came for a work lunch and boy where we were impressed. The place is small but such a cute old mexican diner vibe. We got the taco basket – 2 tacos chips & salsa. I had the al pastor tacos – these should be called high-quality tacos! Very, very good, and their corn tortilla is handmade! The green salsa is also really good, not spicy at all. We shared the horchata fresh water drink, it was ok very sugary for me and it comes with whipped cream on top which is not usual so if you don’t like that ask them to take it out before they serve it. Overall, amazing 10/10 will definitely be coming back & recommending this little gem to all.

We visited their location in Oakbrook, and boy was our food delicious!
Who doesn’t like homemade tortillas , rice, and beans and chips with every meal?
We started off with their Papas Especial, and this was surprisingly good. There is so much food in this dish that it could be considered a full meal. We suggest splitting an order of this just like we did.
Then we had Camarones (shrimp), AL Pastor (pork), tacos, and a Quesabirria plate. Both the shrink and pork tacos were very good, but we loved the quesabirria tacos. The meat was very moist, and the dipping sauce was excellent.
We also had a Grande Plate with 1 taco, 1 vampiro, 1 sope, rice, beans, and chips. An excellent choice if you want a little variety.
To drink, we ordered a Churro shake (really delicious) and a Horchata cold brew (refreshing and tasty).
For dessert, we picked up a couple of El Pinguino Paletas that were flavorful and refreshing.
The manager was really nice and answered all of our questions promptly.
We definitely recommend that you go to Taqueria Invicto at any of their 3 locations, Naperville, Oakbrook, and Vernon Hills.
