My boyfriend and I had been wanting to try it and they did not Disappoint! We went as soon as they opened. We ordered the Birria tacos, the Pazole, horchata and the street corn. Everything was made fresh and was hot. The pazole had a lot of pork meat in it that was so tender! The Birria was the best we’ve had. I haven’t had street corn this good since I was in Mexico City. They are understaffed currently so if you can give them some wiggle room to cook you will not regret it. The staff was so nice! They offer door dash and grub hub which is great! 10/10 we will be going back!

Friendly service, food is prepared after ordering and came out quick. It was absolutely delicious and authentic.

There is a little salsa bar with fresh cilantro, onions, limes, red salsa, green salsa, and pico de gallo.

Gracias chef!!

My husband and I wanted to try a new spot we’ve never been so I found this restaurant on Google. We went today 8/10 on a Sunday.

When we arrived it wasn’t busy so we ordered our food to dine in. I will mention that the restaurant gets hot especially when it’s hot outside. They had one door open so there was a slight breeze but not much.

The lady at the counter was nice and asked if we had any questions. I ordered a chicken taco, a shrimp taco, rice, refined beans and street corn. My husband ordered chips and guacamole, chicken taco and a beef taco.

The chips were delicious . The tacos were seasoned well and great as well. I loved the rice and refined beans. All the food taste authentic and good.

My only complaint will be the street corn. I took one bite and knew something was off. It taste like the corn may be spoiled or old. That’s the only thing that I would not buy again.

Overall we enjoyed ourselves, we will definitely be back but next time we’ll pick up the food and not dine in.

Fantastic service, very friendly. Alot of people just get takeout. But you can dine in and be served. Food is fantastic, chicken enchiladas were especially good and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.

I’m really unhappy with the food I purchased for my family today, especially considering I paid about $80 total (including a pickup tip). We ordered two birria taco orders, a pulled chicken quesadilla, and a chicken burrito.

The birria tacos had good flavor, but I was really disappointed by the amount of cartilage and fat in the meat. It created a chewy, unpleasant texture that I couldn’t ignore.

The pulled chicken quesadilla was also a letdown. The tortilla was extremely soft with way too much cheese, and the packaging made everything melt together and stick, making it impossible to separate or eat properly. By the time we opened it at home, it was sloppy, soggy, and unpleasant to eat. I ended up reheating it just to crisp the tortilla enough to enjoy it.

With the chicken burrito, I specifically asked for sautéed peppers and onions inside the burrito, but the veggies were put on the side instead.

I’m a repeat customer, and this isn’t what I’m used to from this restaurant, though I did have a similar issue with the quesadilla the last time. Please consider making some improvements for pickup orders, because this food isn’t cheap and every order should go out with the same level of quality.

Not trying to bash anyone, I’ve had good meals here before, and I genuinely enjoy the family-owned experience. I’ll be back at some point, I’m just hoping for better consistency.

Friendly staff and very authentic food. Spicy and flavorful, with the abilty to add extra cilantro, chopped white onion, pico, and slasa on your own. Tacos and burritos are fantastic, and the tortas are big and perfectly assembled as well.

Unique specials on rotation in addition to a large regular menu. Gringoes beware the menudo!!! Not for the those with a weak stomach lol

It’s so nice to have a new place open up not too far from me! Penn Hills was definitely in need of a good Mexican restaurant, and although it is unfortunate the Greek spot moved to Irwin, it’s great to have another quality restaurant in their place now. I got to try out their birria tacos with consommé and tres leches cake.

Their birria tacos are usually only available on the weekends. They were very, very good! Great portion for the price. In fact, their entire menu seems to be very fairly priced, and they are generous with everything. The tacos themselves weren’t the best birria I ever had, but they were still very good. Lots of meat and cheese stuffed within them (3 tacos per order). The shell of the taco is somewhat wimpy and not that flavorful, but the consommé and stuffing on the inside more than make up for that.

The consommé was some of the best I’ve had. Actually, this consommé is more like a soup than just a dip. It has bits of shredded beef, chickpeas (which were delicious), and a hearty broth for dipping. The tacos are way better with this. It’s the perfect amount of salty and savory. Absolutely huge portion!!

Finally, I also really enjoyed their tres leches cake. I’m pretty sure they make this in house. It was well soaked through and the perfect amount of sweetness. Probably one of the better tres leches in the area. Topped with a little fruit as well.

All in all, this is a great new spot. I’m glad I got to try it out. They make the food efficiently and the people are relatively friendly, but the inside is quite small. The food is definitely worth giving a shot, especially given the value.

We moved to Pittsburgh from Houston, TX six months ago. We were never lacking for incredible Mexican food in Houston. We didn’t realize the challenge it would be to find a good Mexican food restaurant around here. Believe me, we’ve been doing our best trying places, but there was nothing authentic. Some people would recommend places, but it’s kind of like recommending Olive Garden for the best Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh. Lol. Bless their hearts! Lots have never had great Mexican food so they don’t know what they’re missing. This restaurant is the ticket! I wish I could put in a vote for the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Pittsburgh! I like corn tortillas and they are one of the very few who make their own tortillas. They even grind the corn for the tortillas! The restaurant was spotlessly clean. The service was excellent. For anyone looking for REAL Mexican food, make the trip over to this place!!!!!! Now all we need to do is find a great Mexican breakfast taco place and we’ll be golden.

THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE! I have read through some of these reviews and please trust all of the low rating reviewers are absolutely lost in life and have no sense in authentic taste. The service is amazing and the workers are always on top of it. Super friendly and seem to truly care about their customers and guests! Mexican food is my favorite and I eat it as many time as I can in a week, with that said, I’ve lived in Los Angeles for years and have moved back to PA for about 2 years now, the Mexican food here has been a let down but LET ME TELL YOU NOW, THIS IS THE BEST MEXICAN I HAVE EVER HAD HERE! THIS IS AUTHENTIC, SO IF YOU THINK CHEESE SHOULD BE ON EVERY SINGLE THING, YOU ARE WRONG BECAUSE IT IS AUTHENTIC! We have tried almost everything on the menu and it has all been FIRE AND SPECTACULAR! If you are looking for truly authentic Mexican food this is where you need to be. GO TRY IT NOW!
