Good food, music, and service. The plantains are on another level. Micheladas are solid.

I give 5 Start because my Husband, Irish descendant, picked El Carrizal for one his B-day lunch. He loves to eat Chicharron (pork fry). The environment was very clean (you can smell clean) and cordial during past business & social gatherings also. The Owner & all Employees provided superior customer service. My Allston Neighbors & I love their home made soup with the big size fresh vegetables. Most importantly, El Carrizal is not like other restaurants where they don’t allow substitution on their dishes.

I visited today and unfortunately had a very concerning experience. While dining, we found a cockroach near our table/food, which was extremely upsetting. We informed the staff, and although they apologized, the situation made it difficult to continue our meal comfortably.

Super average in terms of food, service, and atmosphere, however they get a 2 star because I cannot express enough just how expensive their food was, for smaller than average size.

Strait up $19 for something that would cost $9 from a food truck. 3 small enchiladas with a handful of lettuce, a tiny serving of beans, and 2 spoonfuls of rice. I understand that restaurants cost money to run, but the portion size was weak! Wouldn’t have written the review if the food was actually “good” but it’s just super average.

Walked in, were greeted right away and was told to pick any table. I ordered pupusas ND the spicy shrimp plate which was both delicious. Friend had fajitas which he devoured and a taco. My margarita was perfect!

A nice and decent place for South American food. The Colombian plate was great and the chicken tamale is savory and moist and the steak in the 14$ meal was surprisingly fresh and great-quality. I would recommend the chicharon if you like pork. The chorizo though is not as flavourful. The restaurant also needs some cleanness.

This place delivers quality food every time. Their prices are really reasonable as well. Definitely recommend their Columbian plate, which comes with a little bit of everything. You should also try their pupusa’s, which are enormous and filled with delicious things.

A nice restaurant for center and south American food. Most of the clients were from this area so I guess they know why 🙂
The food was good and not expensive but not “wow” (my problem I guess).

I called half and hour before and they still left me waiting for 20 more minutes. They checked all orders and supposedly my order wasn’t there, when they checked again my order was sitting in the counter.6/25

Small and local place, great food. Highly recommend the tacos (steak, fish, and chicken I can personally vouch for). Great staff
