Good spot for bar food. They have a closed off slot area to the side where regulars seem to hang out. We were visiting Lewis & Clark Ft Clatsop nearby and this was a great option to grab lunch before fully getting into Astoria.

A colleague of mine and I were in Astoria for work and had some time to kill in the morning so we decided to drop by for coffee and breakfast. When we pulled up to the building we were both a little skeptical about whether or not Taps would be a good place for coffee and breakfast considering its dive-bar vibes. We ordered two iced Americanos and two Charizo breakfast burritos and both the drinks and the food were fantastic! Now I wish I lived nearby because I would get their breakfast burritos regularly. I’ll definitely be dropping by here the next time I’m in the area.

The food was great. It had a smaller beer selection than I expected from a place called Taps. The place was very small, and there were a few very loud people inside. It is a bar atmosphere, so I guess I should have expected that. I would go back. If you find yourself in the Jeffers Garden area near Astoria and Warrenton, it’s worth a stop.

I had the bacon breakfast burrito and it was so good! There was lots of bacon and the tater tots were really yummy! There was a HUGE cheese pull which I appreciated. The service was really great and the person there suggested some food places for us to try. Local pub where everyone seemed to know everyone else. I would definitely recommend coming here to try the burrito.

Charging $1.00 for the smallest teaspoon sized of dipping sauce in plastic container is outrageous and I cannot think of any reasonable excuse for it other than greed. I’ve eaten all over the world and never have I seen this high of price for such small portions. Not only that but menu items that should come with sauce don’t and you end up paying for it! Food is mediocre at best, if your drunk its probably fine.If the owners stopped drinking and gambling there profits away the prices would come down. Drinking and gambling in the same establishment your running is pretty tacky.Seen another similar post on here.

I wanted to love it. I really did. The breakfast burrito was decent last time I went, so I decided to try these burgers mentioned. It was a tiny flat, frozen patty, not hand rolled. Nothing special, not terrible flavor, though. I guess what got me is paying 0.75 cents for a plastic ramekin of ranch with chicken strips. Since when does dipping sauce not come with chicken strips?? Especially for a kid! Drink was OK. The locals are old, loud, colorful, and curse every other word, as they wander in and out of the main part of the restaurant to get more drinks. Weird vibe.

The biggest mistake I made here was driving on past it for a couple years……Finally, one day, I saw their sign proclaiming the best tacos/burritos in town.. . Thought to myself, ” sure, aren’t they all”..but this time I accepted the challenge and went in to try it out….
WELL DAMN!!! They weren’t lyin’…..And at $6 for THREE tacos, it was also a bargain.
Great service, small dive atmosphere and great food…
Highly recommended
