Really good breakfast spot. I usually get the fried rice special because who can’t beat the price and how good it is! But today I went with the hamburger steak, just as good and delicious. I also got a slice of pie but I ate it before I took a picture .

Great local diner. Great selection of breakfast lunch and dinner. They make great pies and the over all menu is very local. It is a great experience for the local flavor. Very different than the tourist places. This pocket of the island has a unique flavors.

Went to Tanya’s for the first time and it did not disappoint!! Went at 1pm and they were unfortunately out of chocolate cream pie but we were able to buy the last 2 custard pies and it’s the best custard pie we’ve had since Kaneohe bakery closed!!! So delicious and the crust was perfect!!! The custard wasn’t overly sweet like other places and was just so Ono we ate almost half the pie in the parking lot!! Will definitely be back again!!
*pic is after first bite…

Update: Reminder: CASH ONLY. I went back and had the double meat fried rice plate with a side of homemade corned beef hash. Again, the service was super quick! The food was hot and delicious. So far 2/2 on my choices here.
Original: I’ve driven past this spot so many times and never noticed it until today. It’s tucked away on a busy road. Service was really fast. The restaurant setting, although small, was comfortable. They do cash only.
My onion rings were a bit burnt and the burger had a mushy texture but it was delicious and flavored well. Idk if I’d get it again unless I were craving a burger though. The parking spots right outside the restaurant are very TINY(my Prius barely fit in the stall) and the lot was busy. Still would go back and try other items on their menu!

Tanya’s is a very family oriented establishment that serves scrumptious pies, can’t-go-wrong breakfast and popular local favorites such as Teri Beef, Chicken Cutlet, Hamburger Steak. The menu includes many options. They are known for their pies, and they are all delicious. Check-in and enjoy!

Great mom/pop local stop for breakfast. You can do breakfast, brunch food, lunch food. There’s quite a variety of options to select from. It is a small place and can get busy pending the time of the day that you go. High recommend.

Aloha everyone! I have now eaten here enough times to finally post a review! Had lunch for take out from here today. BBQ Cheeseburger and onion rings! The BBQ Cheeseburger comes with a thick homemade patty, slice of American Cheese, two lettuce leaves with mayo and a Sweet Sauce (close to teriyaki tasting). The Cheeseburger was good. Very filling. I can’t comment on the lettuce- I always kick mine out but for all of you reading and for a pic i left it for today. Lol. The onion rings are done in a tempura style. I normally don’t care for my onion rings done that way, not because I don’t like it, quite the opposite actually, its just alot of places mess it up. Batter is too thick and bland tasting. Not crispy enough. Light colored. And OILY!! But here at Tanya’s, I feel is done right. Crispy and Brown. Not too oily. I would like to mention though that tempura is eaten hot, very warm at the least. I only live 5 minutes away from my home from Tanya’s so i eat them right away, however, if you plan on getting the onion rings and perhaps are eating it a distance away like a beach or park (traveling in a car with a/c) I can’t vouch for the taste – eating as you go might be better! They also have specials available. Changes daily. Do call and ask. I was able to try their “Beef Macaroni” special once and I loved it! (Sorry I don’t have a pic!) although it’s a “macaroni” mine was a penne pasta noodle instead which I LOVE so no complaints here. Did they run out of macaroni noodles? Im not sure but I was happy! The sauce is sweet with a savory flavor. There was ground beef, it was minimal, but it was fine because I prefer more pasta than beef, but if your the opposite, just ask them to scoop from the bottom of the pot! Im not a huge pie person, but out of 3 establishments on entire island I rank Tanya’s #3 the Chocolate Cream Pie is worth trying! Hope this helps you, and as always, please support our Local Businesses! Mahalo for reading this long review!
