Ordered carry out and ordered the fajita mix got mostly veggies and barely any meat that was cut up very very small and for it to be terrible. Ordered a side of queso and they were charging $10.50, insane. $35 worth of food to be a waste of $ super greasy and all the produce that came with the meal with all welted and brown. Do not recommend would rather drive the 25 mins to mooresville for better food!

The most certain indicator of a good Mexican restaurant is its salsa. If it has bad salsa, it’s a deal breaker.. (As said by a salsa connoisseur.) The second indicator is a fine margarita that is NOT flooded in a pre mixed juice, excessive sugar, and too much salt. That said, the restaurant was a nice find. While the salsa was a low 4/5, it was acceptable. I added a bit more table spice.. a bit of habanero sauce, lime, and salt to flavor it a bit and it was good. The rest of the food followed suit at solid 4/5. (rated for all recent Mexican food experiences across the east coast in the last 5 years or so.
The margaritas (“top shelf” Texan) were truly excellent. (as said by a margarita snob.)
For a small town hole in the wall, it’s a great find, and worthy of a try. Good atmosphere, good service, decent salsa, excellent top shelf margaritas. (can’t speak for the other varieties).
I recommend and would definitely go back.
Next day update:
Since we’re in town one more night, we went back for a second time. The margaritas (Texan) remain literally the best, authentic, fresh tasting, low sugar mix I can remember. In short, FREAKING AWESOME.
The rest of the order was also as good as the first night save for a huge, but mediocre ceviche appetizer. While a huge full plate, it was a bit bland . In my world, ceviche is “cooked” (marinated) in lime juice and spiced with jalapeños, salt, and cilantro. They did it right, except for the lime. Without a strong citrus base, it was a bit bland. I ordered a bunch of extra limes, which were happily given, another dash of salt, and it was better. Or at least the left overs will be. The dish is a large, full, plate that is a dinner in itself. (and do be aware that it has fresh jalapeños, so if you don’t like hot, ask for less??) Not a problem for me.. Can’t wait to try the left overs tomorrow after soaking in lime and salt.
Again, two tries in.. A SOLID 4/5 with some room on either side depending on the exact dish. Great service, happy atmosphere. We’ll not likely be back in town, but if we were, I’d go regularly.

Delicious food at a fair price. Everything I have had so far, I can’t wait to have again! Your food is prepared in plain sight; the restaurant is neat, clean, and welcoming. Highly recommend the lunch menu, the chili poblano, and the flan! Large portions!

I LOVE this place. I have never had a bad experience here and the food is TOP NOTCH…Best tacos in town and the chicken soup is mind blowingly good and easily 2 meals. They make you feel welcome here and that is as appreciated as the wonderful food.

Went in for lunch today and they messed up my order and gave me beef instead of chicken and I called them and they refused to make it right. This is the first place I have been to that refused to do so. I normally don’t complain but I really was looking forward to chicken enchilada. Very disappointed with them, and will not be back plus I don’t believe he understood me, he acted like he doesn’t understand much English, which is a must when working with the public.

My city has 4 excellent Mexican restaurants, but Mis Amigos is my favorite. The bean nachos made that very clear to me.

This place is fantastic!! Our first time here and it was delicious. The pastor tacos were loaded and so good. Don’t forget the house margaritas, great! The Texas chimichangas were loaded with steak, chicken, and shrimp. The dollop of guacamole is so refreshing and good. Nothing was over-seasoned, a perfect experience. Fresh ingredients and our server Henry was attentive and very friendly. We will drive an hour and to come back. Thank you.
