I visited this Vietnamese restaurant today and was thoroughly impressed!
First off, they put so much effort into the atmosphere—the Halloween decorations were fantastic and truly showed how much care they put into setting the mood for the season.
Beyond the great look, the food was excellent. The presentation and taste of every dish were outstanding.
The service was also superb. It was my friend’s birthday, and they were kind enough to send a complimentary dessert for the celebration!
Plus, they offer free parking, which is a huge bonus! Highly recommend this place for a great meal and experience.

Great option for good tasting late evening dinner. Fiona who assisted us at our table was phenomenally friendly and attentive, which in my experience at a busy vietnamese places, is rare. Not only did she ensure food was placed to share or directly infront of the person that ordered it. She understood the importance of keeping track who wanted or didnt want specific garnishes, even if its not an allergy and just a preference. She checked back unobtrusively to offer to help take photos and a little soup pouring service for the hot pot to delight the table.
There was also a surprising number of items on the menu. There seemed to be a range of flavors and some dishes on the viet street food menu I’ve never seen but eager to go back to try.

2 very kind and accommodating gentleman served myself and 5 children. The food was excellent. The children loved the food and I was impressed with how friendly they were. Gave us.suggestions that the children loved. Yes 5 young children loved this place and we’re still talking about it the next day. Thanks for being so welcoming to my young children. I’m trying to give them different cultural and food experiences. When we pass through again, I’ll definitely eat here again.

Before Tang Vietnamese Restaurant & Bar this location used to be a Vietnamese restaurant with a numbered ending. I used to come here fairly often as Richmond was cash only and this location was one of the few that accepts plastic. Anyways, this spot is kind of a ‘hidden gem’, in a good way and not in a influencer ‘hidden gem’ way. We were immediately greeted by staff members Fiona and Nick whom quickly sat us. I ordered a #67 “two sunnyside up eggs with grilled lemon grass chicken with rice and soup ($17.99)”, and my partner ordered a #02 “large noodle soup with sound eye steak and beef ball ($17.5)”. Staff was very attentive and even asked if we wanted our beansprouts precooked (which is rarely offered up front). The fried egg in my order was actually crispy! The lemon grass chicken had a strong solid flavour with a lot of lemon grass bits. My partner and I were honestly trading spoonfuls of each other’s orders ’cause we’re so blown away by the flavours! I forgot to mention I also ordered an ‘iced salted soda lemonade’ as a part of my $20.99 combo. The meal was a solid 5/5, hospitality and service 5/5 and ambiance is 5/5. Will return again in a heartbeat!

Absolutely loved my hotpot experience here! The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous, and everything cooked perfectly right at the table. The sauce were a flavor explosion, I love it! and the staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to help especially the pretty girl named Fionna. It’s the kind of meal that’s not just delicious, but also an experience you want to share with friends. I left full, happy, and already craving another round! Will surely come back again.

I ordered the Marinated Grilled Chicken with Rice and a Spring Roll, and both were flavorful and satisfying. The chicken was juicy with a nice char, the spring roll was crisp, and the portions were generous. Service was friendly, and while the place can get a little noisy, it’s a solid spot for tasty Vietnamese food in Richmond.

The pho hot pot was a very fun and nice experience, gives a little twist to just a regular bowl of pho noodles. But the seafood soup is very plain compared to the beef, I wouldn’t recommend getting it unless you like plainer broths, the beef one tasted way better.

They have special Vietnamese dishes that aren’t easily found in other viet restaurants. The snails were smaller than expected, and 1 came out cold. Frog legs were delicious, squid and hot pot was mediocre. Music was way too loud, and from 730-930pm there’s a singer on stage singing karaoke – again, way too loud.

The portion of the food we ordered is perfect for our appetite. I like the presentation of our pho that is up to the authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I’m glad that they are open till midnight, so its one of the options my friend and i crave for food after 10pm.
