Tams Burgers is that spot — a true staple of L.A.’s classic ghetto burger scene. I’ve been coming to various Tams locations since I was a kid, and it never disappoints. If you know, you know.
The charbroiled burgers are what it’s all about — smoky, juicy, and full of that unmistakable flavor you can only get from a flat-top and decades of experience. The chili cheese fries? Absolutely fire. Gooey, messy, and worth every bite. And don’t sleep on the ranch with fries — it’s sinfully good and lowkey addicting.
The vibe is always chill, the staff is consistently friendly and attentive, and the food hits the spot every single time. Whether it’s a late-night craving or just that need for a real-deal burger, Tams delivers.
Not quite a five-star white tablecloth experience — and that’s the point. Tams is real, it’s local, and it’s part of the L.A. burger soul. 4.5 stars and a whole lotta love.

My dad came here to order a chicken strips combo and he was very specific when it came to the order. He specifically ordered the strips with zucchinis instead of fries with the side of ranch & thousands. Everything was correct instead of the zucchini! My dad specified two times with the drive thru associate who is most likely named Jose and asked him at the window if everything was correct and he said, “yes”. To my own disappointment, we received fries instead. We don’t live close to the location and my dad is a truck driver who works occasionally at night and he decided to bring me food before going to work. We called and the apparent manager named Joseph asked what was the issue since the zucchini wasn’t charged. The issue is the lack of customer service and error of putting the correct item. Apparently the zucchini is 2 dollars extra so why wasn’t this brought up by the drive thru associate when it was said two times that we wanted zucchinis instead of fries? It was told more than once at the drive thru speaker. The manager lacked customer service saying we need to drive back and pay the difference to receive what we wanted? Why do we need to go back, waste gas, and time for a mistake that they made. Never coming back and I don’t recommend. Lack of listening and communication is horrible over here

Multiple times that they mess up my order. And now they are telling me on the phone since it’s past 10pm and they are close that they can only offer me half a refund for some reason even though they are the ones that mess up my order. Lets see what the manager tells me tomorrow when i go there. Now I got to spend more time and money to buy myself food from somewhere else.

Been coming to Tams for over 20 years!! Love the burgers and fries. Breakfast is also good. The only thing that sucks is the drive thru here, it extends into the street.

During a road trip in Los Angeles, for a late night craving and quick drive thru. Pastrami Sandwich was the best choice for me, A medium sized sandwich but stuffed with delicious moist Pastrami along with Mustard and pickles , and the yellow chili added the perfect combination. I am looking forward to another road trip thru this area just for a second experience with this Pastrami. Service was quick .

While I enjoy a relaxing atmosphere and chatting with coworkers as much as the next person I don’t think it should effect the quality of food, especially when a simple cheeseburger combo is almost $12. The burger was raw and cold in the middle. ♂️ fries were luke warm, must have been a bad time to go. Cashier was nice no issue with that.

Missed one of my items in my order, went back to retrieve my item (chili cheese fries) and received instead frozen cheese on top of chili and fries, cheese didn’t melt and price was absurd. $80 for 3 pastrami (all of which had the soggiest bread I’ve ever tried to swallow), 1 club sandwich (cut very haphazardly) chili fries. Won’t be returning to this location.

Went for chicken tenders got 5 they all came burnt hard didn’t even have chicken was more breading. Would not recommend on top of that they were old already made they just threw them in the fryer to reheat them waited 15 mins for this very unsatisfying never going back
