I stopped by this coffee shop late on a Friday evening, and it instantly became a new favorite. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting — the kind of place where you feel yourself exhale the minute you walk in. I ordered an Oatly Vanilla Latte and an apple danish, and both were incredible.

The latte was beautiful in presentation. The taste was smooth and balanced. The apple danish was warm and flaky — easily one of the best pastries I’ve had in a while.

Everything about this place feels thoughtful. It’s the perfect spot to work, relax, or just treat yourself to something delicious. I’ll definitely be back!

This place is a DELIGHT. Moved back to the area in October and have been routinely making the drive from Brandon to Madison to get coffee from this shop ever since. There is one particular barista working there on the reg and they must be in flow state when making drinks because each one is exquisite in taste and presentation every single time. Such a treat!!

Enjoyable coffee shop experience. Very unique style. Also they have a very diverse around the world menu. The coffee was good. A little more explanation on the coffee types they offer would have been beneficial but we didn’t ask either!

Stopped in to this new coffee shop — one of the best experiences in terms of coffee, knowledge, options, and aesthetics I’ve ever had in Jackson/Madison area. This shop reminds me of the shops that I frequented in London. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Helped make recommendation based on what flavor profile I was looking for.

Also! Finally an upscale coffee place that has ample seating! And that it is all aesthetically pleasing.

Pastries are from renowned Jackson patisserie La Brioche — which are very good!

Only negative to the whole experience was being given a plastic fork instead of a metal one to eat my pastry. It felt just like it didn’t match the rest of the experience. Moving to metal forks for the in house experience would be a good move to make the whole vibe.

Line moved with surprising authority. Before I could settle in, I was up.

Ordered a large velvet-steamed oat-milk latte with Ethiopian beans; an extra shot for a more powerful bang. The barista worked the wand low and slow, steady pressure, no scorching; turning the oat milk silky and thick.

Their latte, a strong creamy thrust, melting inside with a lingering warmth; leaving me completely satisfied and energized with a gushing pop for the ride of the day.

Super modern high quality unique coffee shop is finally in Mississippi! I thought I was in major metropolitan city like London and New York! Love that I can have great tasting specialty coffee with latte art! Seating area is spacious and private with booths! Loved interior design, love quality drink choices at perfect temperature and love the variety of choices available for food! I will be frequenting this coffee shop to read books there! ( pictures show Spanish latte, tamper matcha, piccolo, cortado, macarons, blueberry muffin, all very yummy)

This place is truly a gem! The atmosphere, the service, and the coffee…all top tier! Tamper is the perfect coffee date spot, complete with intimate booths, gorgeous decor, and beautifully crafted coffee/espresso drinks. I can’t remember the name of the drink I had. But it was espresso based with ginger and cinnamon …divine! They have 3 different beans to choose from prior to crafting your drink. I chose the Ethiopian. My husband isn’t a coffee drinker, so he opted for the strawberry tea, which he loved. I’m happy he did because now we have a new coffee date spot. Tamper also offers a variety of pastries. We chose the monkey bread and a blueberry muffin. The muffin was very blueberry forward and moist with a great flavor. But the monkey bread was amazing! Buttery, sweet, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside with just the right hint of cinnamon. It will definitely be a part of our future orders, for sure.
And I almost forgot the service! The woman who waited on us was so sweet and patient as we decided on our order. She also was helpful in giving suggestions…all with a bright smile and kind conversation. Can’t wait to return to try the “Hornet” on my next visit.

Stopped by Tamper yesterday to try their coffee with my husband. 5/5recommend!!

I haven’t found lattes as good as the ones I’ve had in my Japan/South Korean living except for a place in CO and now TSC is up there with them. ☕️

Firstly, you can tell they care about quality & single origin sourcing above all else and you can taste it! It truly makes a difference, & TSC if you don’t compete in coffee competitions – you should start lol.

The recs: The Raf & V60. The Raf is an amazing fall latte special and it’s like drinking a warm hug in a mug. The V60 is divine. I actually grind and brew my own V60 at home and it’s a damn good cup coffee. Try them, you won’t be disappointed!

We didn’t try the food so we’re not sure how that is, but their case looked like it had some good options.

The inside: It’s very Japandi Industrial aesthetic, though it could use just a little bit more warmth impo. The lighting is a bit harsh, tone it down with some warmer bulbs or a different hue and it will feel a little warmer and inviting. The decor and beverage delivery is 10/10 though. Overall though a great spot to work, catch up, and meetings.

Please expand if you can in the future, Mississippi and beyond need more quality coffee establishments like yours. Thanks for serving us! Will be back! ☕️

This place is ok. It’s in a corporate shopping mall plaza, so I don’t love the setting. Workers here were fine but not overly friendly by any means. My interactions with them felt like I was at a post office or a Walmart. One other drawback was that the wifi didn’t work. My whole family tried using the guest network with the login details posted on the wall–none of us could connect. Coffee itself was excellent, and the variety of places to sit and hang outside were nice.

Great well made coffee. However- cold industrial atmosphere where you felt like you needed to whisper. Very High cost for way too small drinks! 27 dollars for 2 small drinks and two pastries.
