Food was great! I ordered vegetable biryani, lamb curry and samosa. Their biryani had a lot of vegetables compare to other restaurants they only put little cuts of vegetables on their biryani. Friendly service and attentive too. Though i find it odd that they also have Italian food in their menu. Recommended for Indian food.

Tamber’s has an extensive Indian and American Menu but on this visit we came for a taste of their Indian Cuisine. We ordered the Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Jalfrezi and Stuffed Naan. All Indian dishes are served with a side order of Steamed Rice. Our selections were well portioned and tasted GREAT! The curries in our selections looked similar but tasted totally different. We couldn’t get enough of the stuffed naan…cheesy, garlicky, oniony and spice overload had us wanting more. Shoulda probably ordered 2!! The perfectly cooked rice rounded out the meal. Definitely recommend!!!

Well portioned and affordable indian restaurant. We had the lamb jalfrezi, chicken tandoori and a cheesecake. The cheesecake tasted so creamy and appetizing, the entrees were authentic (we really enjoyed the tandoori). Def will come again to try more dishes

Nice environment. Traditional American and also fine Indian cuisine! Wow… Follow your nose because looks are deceiving! Seems like a classic American eatery outside… BUT! Excellent Indian food inside. My wife and I followed the sent of exotic spices and were wonderfully rewarded! Friendly service. Across from Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.

Consistently amazing! The menu is varied, ranging from American and Italian to the most delectable, fresh, well-prepared, Indian cuisine. Everything is spiced, according to your choice, and service is attentive and quick to serve you.

WHAT A DINER! Everything you would expect from a diner and MORE! The real deal Indian food! All of our choices were amazing. Excellent friendly service by this family owned business steps from Johns Hopkins U. Chicken Tikka masala, gulab jamun, chicken gyro and Italian sub. That enough variety for you??? Taj Mahal beer and a throw back pic of my wife at the Taj Mahal! Just go!

We have patronized Tambers for many years. Usually the food, service and atmosphere are good. Today, we were seated, handed menus and water. We closed the menus to confirm we were read to order. No one came back to the table. No one acknowledged us. Our server just hung in the back. After 20 minutes or more we realized we were invisible and left.

Neat place with retro diner decor serving a classic diner menu (but not breakfast all day) and Indian food. The service was competent but disinterested. We ordered mainly from the Indian menu, which was a little bland/unbalanced for Indian food. There are better Indian restaurants in the neighborhood, but we’ll go back to try the diner food.

I ordered chicken biryani. What I got was not biryani. It was chicken schezwan rice maybe. But I definitely know it’s not biryani.
