Tamarindos in Flourtown brings a slice of the vibrant Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico to Flourtown, Pennsylvania. A bit of history will explain the strong European influences throughout history. The Yucatán Peninsula has been considered too far and too difficult to reach from the rest of Mexico. Mountainous terrain and very poor roads had kept the Peninsula all to itself. Having ports along with cultural and commercial ties with Europe (especially France), New Orleans and Cuba, the Yucatecans were easily influenced in the many aspects of these other countries, i.e. dress, architecture and cooking. The culinary mixture left some extremely delicious menus behind.

Came and ordered some food to go. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant was clean and cozy. My food was made quickly. My food was also very delicious and flavorful. The fish i had was juicy and flaky, with a crispy crust on the outside. Definitely going to come again.

I celebrated my birthday at Tamarindos in Flourtown with a group of nine, and the entire experience was exceptional. We were seated right away with no wait, which already set a great tone for the night. The food was absolutely amazing with every single dish being full of flavor and beautifully prepared.
What really stood out, though, was the service! It was genuinely the best I’ve ever received. The staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, offering stellar suggestions that ended up being some of our favorite dishes of the night. Everyone in my party raved about the meal and couldn’t believe how fantastic the whole experience was.
I would recommend Tamarindos without hesitation for both small and large groups. It made my birthday unforgettable, and I can’t wait to go back.

food was alright. But make sure you check your credit card charges after you leave the place because they’ll add on to the bill. Our bill came out to 380 and change (gratuity already added since it was a big family) and they ran the credit card for 440 and change. I’d steer clear if this is how they handle large parties. Server also brought drinks out one at a time for a party of 14 which was odd.

We went to tamrindos for dinner before heading to the movies. Luis was an amazing waiter. He described the dishes so well and was super helpful and informative. The drinks were fantastic and food was delicious. Definitely will be returning!

Tamarindos is a very cozy Mexican restaurant near Blue Bell. Our favorite meal is the whole snapper or sea bass topped with the delicious homemade garlic and lime sauce served with rice and beans. The fajitas are also good. The homemade salsa with chips is very good too and so are the free margaritas. The whole fried sea bass was $39. The owner is a very friendly guy and the service is excellent. If you are in a mood for an authentic Mexican food – Tamarindos is a good choice.

Tamarindos Is located in Flourtown, tucked away in the burbs of Montgomery County. In my recent experience, there was a pleasant one I had met up with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. They were able to accommodate our party of nine outdoors. The night that we went, it was one of the coldest days in October in the low 50s. That night they had plenty of heat lamps outside to keep us warm as well as some live music for entertainment. They’re able to give us an appetizer platter to accommodate for such a large group with the assortment of different dishes. I was recommended the octopus for the adventurous people. It was pretty good had a nice smoky and flavorful taste. One of the main attractions of this place are their free margaritas. Despite being free they were very good margaritas and very plentiful. These are the pros of our experience. Some of the cons if you are not in a party of at least six you cannot make a reservation and expect long waits from our experience. They were on point with refilling our drinks and getting our appetizers out within the first half hour however, our main entrée didn’t come for well over one hour after our appetizers had already been out. They were very busy and we were a rather large party but it was a very long wait. Conclusion, I had a fantastic time there for my birthday the drinks were plentiful all the company was great they were very accommodating with bringing three heat lamps over to us at one point the food was rather good despite the way and they were very friendly they had music to entertain, and it was fun times all around.

Please get the chicken quesadillas if you go here for dinner(you definitely should). They were absolutely gaseous. Made my taste buds tingle. Service was amazing for such a large group. Price was not bad at all. Server was an absolute goat. Highly recommend.
