We went for lunch and Staff were pleasant and polite.
Place was clean and we were served promptly.
We ordered fresh uni, this was nice and creamy. The char sui udon with tonkatsu soup was rich and delicious. Bit pricey but Overall a nice experience.

Came with friends for lunch but they were pretty busy since it was a Saturday visit. Had to wait and book for 2 PM. We have friends who doesn’t eat any pork products. At that time, there was no option for non-pork base broth for ramen and had to order other like salmon teriyaki and gyu don. The hot pot was also not available so ended up just 3 of us with the tonkotsu ramen. Would recommend the ramen but hopefully, they can also consider halal ramen.

Highly recommend their tempura, very crunchy batter without feeling oily at all, quality on par with most local restaurants in Japan. Gyudon (beef rice bowl) was delicious, good cut of meat and good portion too. Dragon rolls were nicely presented however the taste was slightly lacking, maybe an extra ingredient is needed, I’ve had better dragon rolls at other places. We’ll come back again for their tempura for sure. (4 stars for the atmosphere because it felt quite dark (not in a good way) even when it was sunny outside.)

Had a great dinner at Takumi recently and definitely coming back. The sea urchin was a standout, fresh and buttery. Sakai had the ramen, the soup was thick and rich. service was super friendly and efficient. Overall, just a really solid spot with great food! It was also very affordable for what you got!!

My fave restaurant every time I visited Brum! Brilliant service especially to Kevin every time we were there. We will always get the dragon rolls. Agedeshi tofu was so silky. On the slightly expensive price range definitely. It’s packed every time we visited. So that’s a good sign?

I have just finished my meal at Takumi, I have no complaints. The food was fantastic, the staff attentive but not disruptive all wrapped up by the wonderful atmosphere. This is a must go if you are in the area.

The restaurant has really nice seating plan, and a great open kitchen view of the sushi. Me and my friend ordered small plates as we went along. The food is relatively quick to make a D very tasty. We ordered the chicken teriyaki skewers a few times and the meat is very juicy. The dragon roll was very filling, I would probably like a little extra sauce with it tho.
