We have been waiting to try this place, as it’s always busy, so of course we assumed it was good. Yes, the food was good, but they really need to have more work on service. We called to say we would be ten minutes late to our reservation, but once seated saw no one except for menus and water for 20 minutes. A very nice and attentive younger waitress helped us promptly once I asked her about it, but she was clearly just helping cover whomever should have been there. We actually were unsure who our waitstaff was since there were several different people that attended to us. We then waited another almost 40 minutes for our food. As said the food was good, but we cannot recommend the naan bread. The owner checked on most tables and was kind and considerate, so that was a plus.
I’ll also mention another time I stopped in one afternoon to ask about ordering take out, but the two people in the back just looked at me and no one came out to talk, so after five minutes I left. Not sure what happened there.
They are very popular, which I’m glad for, but just wanted to leave an honest review from our experience. Also, it’s less noisy to sit outside.

Great spot for date night on a lively street surrounded by other restaurants and nightlife. We made reservations and had a smooth, welcoming experience from start to finish. The service stood out, our waitress was friendly, attentive, and helped guide us through the menu.
We chose the pre-feast option, which was a fun way to sample multiple dishes in one sitting and is perfect if you want variety or are new to the menu.
Unfortunately, the food itself was underwhelming for my taste. I usually love bold Indian flavors, rich spices, and vibrant presentation, and the dishes here felt a bit muted and washed out. We requested one dish to be spicy, but it barely had any heat. I had high expectations based on the experience and setup, but the food didn’t quite deliver for me.

Really tasty warm spicy food for a rainy Sunday night in the city. My wife has celiac disease and they confirmed all the curries are gluten-free. We had the paneer jalfrezi and palak dal, both of which were fresh and scrumptious. Other people in our party had a variety of things, including the gobi special, which they all loved. Great for a big group, easy to access via Muni, what’s not to love?

Excellent if you are craving for Indian food. Their special lunch combos are awesome. Have been to many Indian restaurants in the Bay. This was by far the best for combo choices offered. We ordered four different combos and all were finger licking good. One extra star for being open to serve all day long, unlike most who close in the afternoon. Great and polite staff too.

Not sure why this place isn’t ranked higher. Great service and chicken tikka masala was amazing with great rosemary naan bread. Sauces for the samosas were 10/10.

Want to come back here for dinner since the cocktail menu looked great. Highly recommend

Lunch combos were amazing
We had chicken korma , Chiken Makhni in the combo and it was delicious.
The Salad portion they gave with this combo was good too. Mango lassi can be better but no complaints
Their appetizer combo is a must try which has onion pakora, Samosa and papadum
Overall we had an amazing lunch experience here and would definitely recommend to try this place out.

What a lovely and friendly place to enjoy a meal with friends and families. The vibes are great (though it can be a bit noisy to hear). Food is excellent especially the chicken tikka masala. Owners dropped by our table twice to see how we enjoyed our food. It was around Diwali so we got a house dessert – yum!

It is right next to the West Portal municipality station too!

The food was very good and the service was red carpet. We arrived at 5pm on Sunday and did not have reservation and did not have to wait. The server, the owner. He was very good of taking care of our party of 8.

We ordered, calamari pretty good. Bengan pakoras, deep fried egg plant, actually pretty good.

The bread basket, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, machi masala, tandoori prawns, mixed seafood and also ordered two rice. Just right for 8 ppl. Sorry, forgotten to take pictures. This is our third times coming here.

Must try the machchi masal, salmon very good. One of the best. The 2nd one is chicken tikka masala.

The place was super busy and the owner told us no need to rush and we had brought in the cake.

If you want good Indian food and great service. You need to try this restaurant. Make reservations if you have a large party.

Black coffee was fresh and very good.

I went here because I was craving some good biryani and the last time I came here with a friend, it was pretty good. I had asked them to make it spicy but it was still pretty bland when I got the food. But they were kind enough to make me another biryani, this time more spicy. But I decided to get the naan and malai kofta instead. The naan and malai kofta was rich, creamy and deliciously. It was presented very well too. The kofta balls were freshly fried and brought out in a rich gravy. The basil garlic naan was delicious as well- would recommend adding butter to it though. Later the staff were so nice, they offered to give me some biryani for free anyways. This time they made it spicy. I’m Indian and I can take a good level of spice and they made it indian spicy. I believe the spiciness of Indian food is what gives it that intense and rich flavor and I wish it can be translated when making it for people belonging to different countries. I really appreciated the gesture by the staff and enjoyed my food. I had to take away some food as I couldn’t finish it in one sitting.

Returned to this spot after almost a year. Food and leftovers were so good almost came back the next day. All food was great but want to give special callout to lamb preparations, which my husband says is best he has ever had (i dont eat lamb)

From another visit. Only disappointment was the chai. Burnt. Food continues to be top notch
