Great atmosphere and nice interior design. The music was really good and made the place feel cozy. The cocktails were delicious and very well made. The sushi was super fresh, and the chef is clearly very skilled. Overall, everything was tasty and the service was friendly. I’ll definitely come back!

I ordered the fried pork gyoza and the chicken katsu curry. The dumplings were fried perfectly and had a great crisp to them, but the filling was lacking flavor. The katsu itself was decent, however they were VERY skimpy with the curry sauce. Only half the plate had sauce, leaving the rest as extremely dry rice and chicken, which made it hard to fully enjoy the dish.
When I tried to order dessert they were out of both cheesecakes on the menu, so I ended up sitting there while the rest of my table enjoyed theirs. That part was disappointing.
I will say the service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. The hospitality was easily the best part of the experience. Overall it was not terrible, but the food did not quite live up to the level of the service. It’s not exactly cheap either so I likely won’t be back.

I was looking for a place on Valentines day that have nice sushi and Takara. I have done a pickup order to eat home there and I’m glad I did. Sushi was perfect with champagne at home. Even though I was desperate to find a restaurant that day at last minute, happy I didn t take my Valentine there. I saw people eating there and car pulling left and right in parking lot with high beams in their face inside the place. On top of that, they have contractors working and fixing craps while people are eating their meals

That’s my second time coming here, and if I could eat here every day, I would. The place is super cozy. There’s a vibe here where you don’t even realize that you’ve been sitting for that long. Food is coming quickly, and the price is not exaggerating.
Let me not even start with the customer service here. Those people are the real definition of kindness and caring. They pay attention to the small details. My friend ordered a drink, and the lady who took her order realized that her birthday was a few days ago while checking her ID, and before she leave the restaurant, they brought her an ice cream and happy birthday.
Such an heartwarming moment. Words will never be enough to express how impactful this moment was. Kindness is a core memory.

Best Sushi I ever tasted. Very fresh every time I order. They have amazing special sushi rolls. Great selection. Prices are reasonable. I mostly order takeout but they have a fine in area as well with great atmosphere.

Food was ok. The waiters seemed to be in a rush and not so friendly. There was only 1 other couple in the restaurant. Waiters constantly watching. We complimented their chop sticks and they immediately came over and took them away… Smfh… Your waiter have issues.. if there are certain ppl you don’t want in your restaurant put a sign up… We just wanted to eat and enjoy the meal. Also there was two guys doing construction on the main door. So much noise and unprofessional. Thanks for a horrible experience!

A classic reborn in Canton! Takara was known for many years in Canton as the go-to Sushi restaurant in the area.
A local gem having moved just down the street from its original location into the famous DD in the center of town. As I dined this evening it felt weird – having seen the view a million times while sipping a Dunkachino. But trust me, it is sufficiently different now.
Dark wood, dark colors, clean lines and many mood lights transform what used to be a local coffee shop into a very sleek, modern Japanese sushi spot. Clean and modern with tasteful decor and a mix of today’s hits & Japanese music make for a great dining mood.
Seaweed Salad, Dumpling Soup and a sushi boat (read: board) for 2 was perfect for us. The food was delicious and fish was simply divine.
I went to the old location for years, I’ll continue to frequent the new one as well. Just keep in mind, parking can be tight. Arrive early.
