Well to say we are glad that we decided to go to Tahini for lunch would be an understatement. So very glad we noticed it as we were walking around Greenville on our visit! The interior is warm and welcoming and everyone working there was amazing. This was by far, some of the best Middle Eastern food I have had! And that’s saying something coming from someone who has aunts, uncles and other family members preparing it for me! The hummus had the perfect blend of tahini, garlic and lemon to set it off brilliantly. The falafel was warm, crisp and full of flavor. The chicken salad was huge and bursting with spices – they make their own Za’atar seasoning and it’s top notch. The grape leaves were fantastic as well. Cannot wait to visit again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must Try in Downtown Greenville
Tahini absolutely blew me away last night! I had the Fattoush Salad, and I do not even normally like salad, but this one was so light, refreshing, and full of flavor that I would happily get it again. The Za’atar Fries were addictive, and both hummus dishes were standouts.
The Falafel Over Hummus tasted like it was handmade with love, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Beef Over Hummus was incredibly tender and full of flavor. And the hummus itself was so good I wanted to dip everything in it.
For dessert, the Barazek was the perfect ending. It is a crunchy sesame cookie that is not too sweet, and the sesame and pistachio flavor combination was amazing.
The customer service was great, and the decor felt very cultural and welcoming. It is absolutely worth the trip to downtown Greenville! I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

One of the top tier shawarmas you can get anywhere. The owner is from Syria and puts his passion into his crafts. The service and hospitality is unmatched, the food is elite. The chicken shawarma is where it’s at! The chicken is perfectly cooked, the garlic sauce is just enough, the pickle adds a nice subtle tang to the sandwich. The pita is structurally sound and not overly dry or bready. I’d recommend some hummus on the side to dip the shawarma into. My friend ordered the falafel and said it was the best she’s ever had.

We ate at Tahini yesterday and the food was absolutely fantastic. It reminded us of the amazing Arabic dishes we used to enjoy back in Venezuela, where there’s a strong Syrian and Lebanese influence. The restaurant is operated by its owner, a very kind and friendly Syrian gentleman, and you can truly feel the authenticity in every bite.
We ordered mixed shawarmas (beef and chicken). This option isn’t on the menu, but it’s how they used to prepare it back home, so we asked if it was possible, and they kindly made it for us. That gesture alone shows how committed they are to great service and customer satisfaction.
The flavors were incredible, and the quality of each ingredient was top-notch. Every detail seems thoughtfully crafted, from the dishes to the interior décor. This place is a gem. Highly recommended!

You order at the front first, then you find a spot. The tables were dirty, but it was busy and our server noticed and cleaned it for us. We got traditional beef with falafel side and traditional chicken with grape leaves side. We thought the grape leaves and chicken were very tasty. Grape leaves especially I would recommend to the people from middle east. I am from Turkey and it reminded me of home. On the other hand we thought the beef wrap and falafel were very dry. We think both would be good with the garlic sauce, they are dry by themselves and tahini makes them even drier. But everything was delicious and we really liked the design overall. Also, it is a lot of food for great price. Me and my boyfriend would recommend.

Definitely a new lunch staple for me. Phenomenal flavors at a fair price.
The pressed pita sandwiches are delightfully full flavored and the sides are a hit. I had the beef shawarma, which had a nice steak-like texture with fresh vegetables packed in with it. The pickled turnip was a delicious surprise! The fattoush salad was very refreshing and more flavor rich than a traditional salad. Lastly, the fries were nicely fried to a crispy outside while still pillowy on the inside.
The staff is kind, patient, and welcoming, not hesitating to explain the menu to a first timer. The food came out quickly after ordering. We’ll definitely be back!

Stopped in to Tahini for the first time today with a friend and we ordered ourselves a little feast and this was THE best lunch we’ve had in a while. I’m vegan and they were so helpful and accommodating to our order. We got the grape leaves, fries, tabbouleh & a falfel platter to split and everything was 11/10. Best falfel I’ve had (arguably ever) and the garlic sauce was actually incredible. Such a cute & clean place and we can’t WAIT to come back to this spot, highly recommend!

The food is perfectly done. It is hand made, fresh, and genuinely middle eastern food. My husband and I said this is easily one of our new favs and go-to places. I love falafel and theirs is the best I’ve had- and I’ve been to Israel, Palestine, and Jordan.
