The restaurant is very quiet and clean. Staff are very friendly. The dishes were delivered quickly. The portion of the food is big. My husband had to help me finishing my fried chicken breast dish. His liver and onion dish was tasty.

The owners retired and sold. Good for them! I will miss actual “Michael Jay’s,” because I’ve been coming here since I was a kid.
This is now a Mexican restaurant. Came through here after doing a photography session in Connell. This has always been my go to place when I’m in town. I didn’t know they sold. We decided to give it a try. Giving a 5 star rating based solely on food. The service was really slow. It was a Saturday afternoon and there were only two other tables besides us. Took us an hour to get our food. I will tell you that once we finally did, it was probably the best Mexican food I’ve ever had!! I had the garlic shrimp, although I think they brought me spicy shrimp. (communication barrier was a little tough, we did our best!) Served with fresh beans and rice, the GOOD sour cream and delicious salsa & chips. Server was friendly and trying his best, and I understand it was just him and the cook. They need at least 1 more person in here to help. I understand that is sometimes easier said than done. Total dinner experience was 2 hours. Would probably eat here again, as long as I am not in a hurry.

Wife and I had stopped in while traveling; it was 15-20 minutes to closing….we said we understand so make our order to go. We both work in the restaurant industry and know how important closing is.

Our first time in while traveling to new home in Deer Park. I was so fortunate to get one of the 3 remaining Friday Special Prime Rib dinners. It was amazing and cooked medium rare perfect! (I even have left overs for a great next day snack!) My better half had the sirloin steak and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Our service was excellent as well. We certainly have found a great place to eat on our future travels and we will tell others coming through this way to stop in for sure.

Always a great meal, large quantities and fantastic staff! Great Family place to eat as well as a quick meal on your travels. Even has a lounge and pool tables. Last year we had the Best Prime Rib dinner ever.

The food is nothing to write home about. It’s not terrible, but IMO, there’s some room for improvement. I had the prime rib and shrimp special and the prime rib was tender, but rather bland. A good blackening seasoning would really help. A plus is that you get A LOT of food for your money! Out of a possible 10, I give it about a 7.

I am a business traveler and eat out a lot, not to mention motel breakfast. Stopped in on a Sunday. They offer a very well thought out breakfast buffet. The quality of the food was excellent. There was a pletora of choice…burritos, eggs, sausage, ham, fruit, waffle, pastry. Staff was friendly and made us feel special, they even gave us coffee and pastry to go. My highest recommendation!

The waitress is awesome, she makes the experience. Typical small town restaurant and bar, with better than typical food. I have never had anything here that was not good, great selection and healthy options also. A good place for large groups as well.

Quaint little place. Friendly staff and speedy service! Eggs were perfect and cheesey (just like I love!) And the bacon was the perfectly crisped, yummy! This is a must stop if in town! Thank you for the service and food!

I ordered the blue cheese burger, with fries. I got the order in about 15 minutes or less great service by the way, and the fries were crispy and the burger was nice and juicy in the middle. Not to mention the waitress was very nice and checked on me. I recommend this place.
